I am from the USA and got a classic nose job (closed rhinoplasty) in September 2015 and would definitely recommend this clinic. Total cost was 2075 Euro (175 for pre-op tests, and 1900 euro for everything else). The surgery was done under general anesthetic by MUDR. Peter Jan Vasek. I am a young healthy female who attended the surgery and did the recovery on my own. Included in the price is transport, wifi, a comfy bed, pajamas, healthy food (Vegetarian options available) overnight stay, anesthesia, on call nurse assistance, all meds while at the clinic and for after care, consultation, and even some gifts. I would like to share in detail my experience so you know what to expect. I contacted them and received a response almost immediately and all questions were answered thoroughly and I had to send in photos/medical questionnaire for review. After some more research I decided to book the surgery and I wire transferred 400 euro to hold my spot. I then arrived almost a month later in Prague for the surgery. Since I was going to be by myself I decided to do some preparation so I could recover in my hotel in peace for the rest of the week. I would suggest getting the following supplies ready especially if your going to be recovering alone: some easy to make meals, ice pack, straws, q-tips, compression socks, saltine crackers, pen and paper, u-pillow, lotion, face wipes, prunes/laxatives and water bottle. They will give you the hydrogen peroxide, ointment, button down pajamas, gaze/tape, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, pain killers, and everything else you need. I would also suggest staying in the area for at least 5 days after to give yourself some rest (my hotel was called Hotel Golden Garni, included a clean room with a double bed, bathroom, A/C, microwave, Tv, and refrigerator for only 50 USD a night, I highly recommend you look into it) So I went into the clinic around 8 am and had my pre-op tests done. I met with the surgeon who at first I thought was a bit pushy but ended up really liking, I met with a nurse, an internist and the anesthesiologist. I told the anesthesiologist that I am prone to nausea (make sure to find out if you’re at risk as this is a common side effect) and he assured me that he would give me something extra to prevent this. At around noon I got changed into comfy clothes/compression socks and was given some sedatives. Then put under the anesthesia (via IV/gas) I woke up with no pain or upset stomach a few hours later and had minimal bruising. Since no packing was used I had minimal discomfort and didn’t feel the intense congestion I had read many people experience. I did bleed through the gaze a few times (which the nurses quickly changed upon request) but had no complications. The nurses also monitored my vital signs. The first night I was only allowed to drink water and I kept my head elevated and iced. I had some trouble sleeping so a nurse gave me a sleeping pill and some pain medicine when I said I was getting some tingling. Overall no pain and only slight discomfort (keep in mind I have a low pain tolerance) periodically I was given fluids and antibiotics by the nurses. The next day I was given a big delicious breakfast, got to sleep some more and was given a big tasty lunch. Again I was being given meds periodically but didn’t feel that groggy. I spoke with the surgeon and was given after care instructions. I left the clinic around 1400 (2pm) the day after surgery and was assisted with carrying my bags to a pre-arranged taxi waiting to take me to my hotel. From what I can tell my nose looks great already which I wasn’t expecting to be able to see so soon with the swelling. I’m now at my hotel. I will be going back to the clinic in 8 days to have my cast taken off (you don’t have to stay in prague this long but I wanted to) I was told I was given dissolvable stitches so hopefully I get avoid the discomfort of having them removed. I will keep you updated on my recovery and maybe even post some photos when I get a chance. This clinic has great customer service, it is clean, low cost, all inclusive, great for foreigners, and made me feel very safe. I would definitely recommend to any of my friends and family. I will keep you updated!
