Once I was ready Dr. Rohit returned me to my hotel complete with a course of antibiotics, painkillers and other medication to aid in a rapid recovery. So how did it all turn out? I left India 24 hours later (Dr. Rohit himself took me to the airport) and one of the KLM stewards recognized what surgery had been performed and told me that my condition was remarkable for only 24 hours after the surgery! Yes, there was bruising but not on the operation site but below my eyes, this lasted for about a week and then faded away. Yes, there was irritation for a couple of days after the operation but with the ointment that was provided, it was easily managed. A Nurse at my local GP Clinic in the UK successfully removed the stitches. A truly successful outcome and justified my confidence in the doctor. The outcome – My eyes no longer have constant irritation and my vision is no longer hampered and while not of a personal concern to me, it has much improved the look of my eyes.
