Prehistory:
After losing over 40 pounds, I suffered from loose skin and stretch marks on my stomach. Exercise and firming creams did not bring any improvement. So I decided to have a tummy tuck.
The decision for Turkey:
Due to the high costs in Germany, I decided to have a tummy tuck in Turkey. After thorough research and advice, I chose a reputable clinic in Istanbul.

Organization and process:
The organization of the clinic was perfect. Flight, hotel, transfer and the operation itself were organized smoothly.
The operation went without complications. The experienced surgeon Dr. Safa Manav took a lot of time with me and explained every step of the procedure.

Aftercare and recovery:
The aftercare in the clinic was excellent. The clinic staff were friendly and took great care of me.
After a few days in the hotel, I could fly home. The swelling and bruising subsided after a few weeks.
Result and satisfaction:
Today I am overjoyed with the results of the tummy tuck. My stomach is toned and the stretch marks have disappeared.

Conclusion:
The tummy tuck in Turkey was a good decision. The costs were significantly lower than in Germany and the quality of medical care was excellent. Dr. I can highly recommend Safa Manav.

My experience with Dr Safa and his team was outstanding from the beginning of my journey till I left. I chose Dr Safa upon his review and I decided to go with him, I can say I was nervous but once I arrived at the Hospital and met Dr Safa and all those nurses I have to say they were all great and made sure I was ok and they were there for me all the time while I was in the hospital for 2 days so I would thank them and Academic hospital for they hospitality is a really good hospital.

I started feeling much better once we started deciding what to have done before my surgery. Dr Safa is an understanding and caring surgeon he would not do something for you if he thinks is not for you he is a skilled surgeon. I had my tummy tuck and some light liposuction done and everything went well so far. I’m 7 weeks post pone my surgery and I’m still healing I know I still need time to get full results but so far I’m loving it and can’t wait till I get fully recovered so I can see results.

So I would choose Dr Safa and his team if I decide to have any other surgery. Big Thanks to the great surgeon and his team and the Academic hospital.

Outstanding service, I could not be happier. Quite remarkable really. Dr. Manav did wonderful work. His support staff was top-notch and took care of my every need. I was a stranger in a strange land having surgery. I did not need to worry they took great care of me. Defne handled all of the arrangements on the front end and did a fantastic job. From the time I got on the ground, Elif took over and stayed in constant communication. If I had questions or personal needs Elif was there the whole time. I got to the hospital, they were checking me in. I mentioned I needed some US plug adapters. Elif and I were going to hit a shop together but the hospital said “Oh no, you can’t go.

We just put a catheter in your arm” Elif went right out on her own and brought back exactly what I needed. So sweet and helpful. We became buddies right away.

After researching and searching reviews for several months I decided to get in touch with Dr Safa Manav, I received a video call from him asking me what surgical procedure I was interested in having done, I explained my wishes and he listened to my requests, I went ahead in October 2023 with my surgery booking, I flew out to Istanbul on January 22nd 2024, on January 23rd I was collected from my hotel and driven to the Academic Hospital where I was greeted by Doctor Safa and his co-ordinating staff, we sat and chatted about what my expectations would be and agreed with the procedure Doctor Safa recommended.

I was given a blood test and various health questions were asked of me, I was taken to surgery at 11.55 am that morning and taken back to my room around 6.45 pm.

Doctor Safa accompanied me there and proceeded to ensure I was comfortable and completely pain-free. The staff at the Hospital are 100% fantastic, they looked after me at the highest level of care. Dr Safa left then at 1.30 am on Wednesday 24th of January he came back to make sure I was well and comfortable. I cannot rate this man enough, he is an absolute genius at his craft. I would 1000.000% recommend him, his team of co-ordinators are of first-class level and I would again recommend the whole team, Dr Safa is a very conscientious man and nothing is too much trouble for him,

I had a breast reduction and abdominoplasty. Dr Manav's staff was amazing he was in the room when I got back from surgery and visited 6 times a day in the hospital. The level of care was unmatched.
Elif my coordinator had daily communication and helped answer all my questions.

The nurses at the hospital were amazing. I was one of 3 patients they cared for per shift. They checked on me all the time. It was amazing.
The price was the same as quoted except for massages which I voluntarily added ( they came to the hotel every day) and an extra night in the hospital ( 3 nights) which I was consulted on.
Dr Manvav is very honest and takes a lot of care of his patients and his work. He is very confident in his recommendations, this was a common consensus from 5 of the North American girls who were there, and all of us were referred.

The drivers were great and took you to all your appointments.
Turkey is also amazing to experience once you begin to feel better.
( also they feed you and your guest 3 meals a day at the hospital, and comp breakfast at the hotel fills you up. and is amazing, you only need a snack there were very few other expenses unless you left the hotel)
I was quoted in Mexico for the same procedures 4500 US dollars more, with less. Flights if you book early it is still cheaper.
