CEREC Dental Restorations (3 hours)

How does this CEREC technology work?

Your dentist will prepare your tooth in the normal way he/she would before fitting a crown or a

veneer.

At this point, instead of using "dental putty" to take an impression of your tooth, a digital image is taken using a special camera. This image is then converted into a 3D computerised model of your tooth, which is used as a guide to design your new restoration. Once your dentist is happy with the newly designed tooth, this data is sent to an onsite milling machine, which fabricates your new tooth from a high-quality ceramic block. The milling process can take anywhere from as little as 6 minutes to 30 minutes depending on the exact technology and complexity of the tooth. The latest CEREC MCXL machine can mill a

crown

in as little as 6 minutes.

The ceramic blocks come in a wide variety of shades and colours, and your tooth will be selected to match your surrounding teeth. Once the crown or veneer has been milled, the dentist may characterise it and stain it to match your surrounding teeth, before either polishing it or glazing it in a furnace. Your new restoration will then be cemented into place onto your prepared tooth.

Cosmetic Dentist Consultation (30 mins)

When you come to our office, you will always receive personalized care designed to meet your specific needs. Everyone's dental health is different and requires an individual approach. A comprehensive oral exam will allow us to discover exactly how to support your dental health in the best way possible.

Our dentists

will perform a complete exam of your teeth, gums, and the delicate tissues inside your mouth to develop an accurate assessment of your oral health and any possible dental diseases that require your attention.

At your exam appointment, we look for common conditions such as decay, periodontal disease, TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders, bone loss, cysts, tumors, and infections. With this information, we can provide you with exactly the type of dental care that will protect your smile for years to come.

If you are like many of our patients, you may wish to improve the appearance of your smile. A comprehensive dental exam can help us determine the types of cosmetic dental procedures that will give you the beautiful smile you have always wanted.

Customized Treatment Planning

Once our dentists complete your exam, they will design a treatment plan that addresses your immediate needs, dental conditions, and any goals you have for your smile. Whether you need to address some health concerns or you want to explore cosmetic dentistry to improve the aesthetics of your smile, her customized treatment plan will provide you with the guidance you need to keep your teeth looking and feeling great for many years to come.

High-quality dentistry begins with having a clear plan and quality routine care. The doctors at our clinic are committed to providing you with the best that modern dentistry has to offer and the guidance to make good decisions regarding your dental health.

Implant Bridge (1 hour, 3 sessions)

Some people want more stability when it comes to their dentures. That is why many of our patients choose to have implant-retained dentures. By having several strategically placed dental implants, we can anchor your denture to your implants to avoid slipping, moving, and denture sores.

Implant-retained dentures also have the added benefit of helping to prevent bone loss that occurs with missing teeth.

Maryland Bridge (1 hour, 2 sessions)

15000 Kč - 90000 Kč

Permanent Bridge (1 hour 30 mins, 3 sessions)

A bridge is composed of two or more crowns, connected together and including one or more false teeth. The more “units” that are connected together, the more demanding is the restoration.

You must remember that crowns and bridges replace only the missing teeth. If you are also missing gum tissue and bone, a purely fixed restoration may not give you an acceptable appearance.

In addition, implants that support fixed appliances are asked to bear higher loads and biting forces than implants that support removable appliances. This has an important influence on the number, size and position of the implants selected.

Porcelain Crown CEREC (3 hours)

There are several advantages to having treatment with CEREC over conventional, laboratory-made restorations:

Porcelain crown by CEREC

Everything is carried out in a single visit

 - you only need to visit the dentist once - take one day away from your work or life to have the procedure - instead of the usual two or three visits.

Only one set of local anaesthetic injections

- since the entire procedure can be carried out within the hour, you only need to have one lot of injections.

Your dentist is in complete control of the final result

 - since the crown or veneer is designed and fabricated from start to finish by your dentist, he/she has total control over how it will look and fit, whereas a crown made in a laboratory is under the control of the technician who hasn't even seen the patient.

No temporary restorations

 - if you have lab-made veneers, you would require temporary veneers during the wait for your new teeth. These have been known to fall off and cause problems, which is a step that is omitted with CEREC restorations.

How much does CEREC cost?

You would probably think that restorations made with this state-of-the-art technology would cost a lot more than standard lab-made veneers and crowns. However, there is often very little - if any - difference in price, because you only need one appointment with the dentist and there are no laboratory fees to incorporate into the price of your treatment. CEREC crowns can vary in price from as little as 280 EUR up to 400 EUR per tooth. Many dentists offer interest-free finance plans to help spread the costs of your treatment.

Comfortable Complete Dentures

If you are missing all of your teeth on your upper or lower arch, you probably need complete dentures. Complete dentures should fit well in order to function properly. To start, we will take dental impressions so that ou dentists can begin the design process.

Once she designs your dentures, our trusted dental lab will create them. She will perform a fitting to make sure they feel comfortable and follow up with a re-check to make sure that they continue to function well and feel great.

Once you have your complete dentures, it is still important to maintain regular dental exams so that we can check your dentures for damage and perform life-saving oral cancer screenings.

Flexible Partial Dentures (1 hour 30 mins, 3 sessions)

Partial dentures can replace a number of missing teeth. Usually they are made of metal or lightweight, gum-colored resin, and artificial teeth. Your natural teeth will provide an anchor for your partial dentures and hold them in place.

Since your partial denture will be part of your existing smile, we will closely match your denture teeth to your remaining natural teeth, so your smile looks seamless.

Your partial denture relies on the health of your remaining teeth, so good oral hygiene is important, as with all dentistry.

Since your body changes over time, you may find that your partial denture needs a periodic adjustment to keep it fitting properly.

Teeth may need to be removed for a number of reasons. This could include orthodontic considerations or as a result of extensive decay, "gum" disease, or trauma resulting in painful, abscessed, or loose teeth. In most non-emergency situations involving the need for dental extractions, we will evaluate and treat you at the same visit. This treatment can be performed under local anesthesia (numbing medicine), conscious sedation or general anesthesia. On many occasions a special Panoramic X-ray will be needed to identify vital structures in the area of the surgery.

Most patients prefer not to return to work on the day a tooth is extracted…usually because of minor post-extraction bleeding and discomfort. You can expect mild to moderate discomfort for a few days following the extraction. There may be some swelling, stretching of your lip, or bruising. In general, you should start to feel better after 2-3 days. If you do not, please let us know.

Root Canals (1 hour 30 mins)

The root canals treatment.

A 'root canal' is the term that refers to the natural cavity or space within the center of the tooth. It is made up of the pulp chamber which provides nutrients and nerves to each tooth and the 'canals' that connect to each other or to the surface of the root of the tooth.

A cavity in the tooth leaves an opening where bacteria can enter and multiply. Left without treatment, these bacteria cause infections and form pockets or abscesses filled with pus up at the roots of the tooth. This causes severe pain and swelling that could spread to other areas of the face or head. Serious infections bring about bone loss around the tip of the tooth's roots.

A root canal is a procedure done to treat and save a tooth that is damaged, infected or badly decayed. The treatment involves (1) removal of the nerves and pulp and (2) cleaning and sealing the infected area inside the tooth.

Teeth can become damaged and infected due to severe decay, repeated dental procedures, cracks in the tooth or trauma to the face. Constant pain, swelling and tenderness of the gums, prolonged sensitivity to heat or cold and discoloration of the tooth are signs that one may need a root canal. A visit to the dentist will best determine the ways to deal with each particular case.

Sinus Lift

SINUS LIFT PROCEDURE

The maxillary sinuses are behind your cheeks and on top of the upper teeth. Sinuses are like empty rooms that have nothing in them. Some of the roots of the natural upper teeth extend up into the maxillary sinuses. When these upper teeth are removed, there is often just a thin wall of bone separating the maxillary sinus and the mouth. Dental implants need bone to hold them in place. When the sinus wall is very thin, it is impossible to place dental implants in this bone.

There is a solution and it’s called a sinus graft or sinus lift graft. The dental implant surgeon enters the sinus from where the upper teeth used to be. The sinus membrane is then lifted upward and donor bone is inserted into the floor of the sinus. Keep in mind that the floor of the sinus is the roof of the upper jaw. After several months of healing, the bone becomes part of the patient’s jaw and dental implants can be inserted and stabilized in this new sinus bone.

Home Whitening Kits (30 mins)

The typical procedure followed at  our  dental office to obtain an in-home teeth whitening kit would be:

  • Impressions are taken of your upper and lower teeth and sent to the dental laboratory to make your trays. It will normally take 2 3 days  for the dental lab to make your trays. The initial shade of your teeth is recorded in your dental chart for comparison when whitening has been completed.
  • An appointment will be made to show you how to dispense the teeth whitening solution in the trays and give you detailed instructions to follow. Take-home teeth whitening is typically used one hour a day for two weeks, and can be used for touch-up applications thereafter. Certain brands may be worn overnight for your convenience. Always brush and floss your teeth before placing the trays in your mouth, and avoid eating, drinking, or smoking while wearing the trays and for approximately 30 minutes after teeth whitening.
