Very happy

5 50 Root Canals • Paid: €550

I had root canal treatment done by Dr Sile Lennon today and am extremely satisfied with how it went. I hate having dentistry work done but genuinely had a good experience with Dr Lennon. The procedure took two visits with the first washing the infection out and the second filling the root canal. After the anaesthetic wore off on both occasions I had no need for any additional pain relief which was excellent. The clinic is brilliantly well equipped and Dr Lennon did the treatment using a microscope and multiple digital x-rays which was very impressive. Given the amount of time and effort spent by Dr Lennon and the dental nurse, and given the level of equipment operated by the clinic, I was also very happy with the cost - especially important for this accountant. I would highly recommend Dr Lennon.

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Wisdom teeth are the large molars found at the very back of the jaw. They are the last teeth to appear (erupt) in the mouth, usually between the ages of 18 and 24 years, although this can vary. If the jaw is too small to accommodate them, they may cause pain or crowd other teeth out of position. Impaction means that the tooth may be partially trapped by the jawbone, back teeth or gums. These teeth can grow sideways, emerge only part way from the gum or remain trapped beneath the gum and bone. Wisdom teeth are extracted for two general reasons: either the wisdom teeth have already become impacted, or the wisdom teeth could potentially become problematic if not extracted. Potential problems include infections caused by food particles easily trapped in the jaw area behind the wisdom teeth where regular brushing and flossing is difficult. Such infections may be frequent, and cause considerable pain. . Other reasons wisdom teeth are removed include misalignment which rubs up against the tongue or cheek causing pain and potential crowding of the remaining teeth.

Root canals

This is basically a deeper filling where the root of the tooth is filled as well as the crown. Your dentist opens up the root canal or space in the centre of the tooth.
