Because of CERAM, our life is now complete with our precious baby boy.

5 50 Fertility Specialist Consultation

Treatment was very professional, very friendly, informative staff.

Barbara helped us with everything we needed to do, and all the way through, was there to answer all our queries. We are now the proud parents of a beautiful miracle baby boy since March. Ceram made our dream come true, and I couldn't recommend them enough. We had our reservations about the clinic before we went over, but we can now say this clinic is top-class. We are so grateful to Dr. Benito and all his team. We would never have been successful without their wonderful clinic and the treatment. Because of CERAM, our life is now complete with our precious baby boy. Thanks again to all of you. Clinic very modern, clean, and staff excellent

Very pleased

4.4 50 Fertility Specialist Consultation • Paid: 200 €

I was very pleased with how the appointment went last week and we are strongly considering this clinic. The apt lasted over two hours and it was very thorough in detail provided and medical discussion completed.
The quote price was consistent with what was received earlier (5900) with some potential for some additional charges, but again lots of transparency.

Most professional clinic

5 50 IVF with Donor Eggs • Paid: 5000 €

ivf/donor

Ceram is the most professional clinic to deal with and we cannot recommend it highly enough. After years of miscarriages, fertility specialist appointments - and failures - and a frustrating and emotional attempt to adopt, we felt we had no choice but to give up on our dream of another child. By chance I happened to hear about someone who had been to Ceram and started to research the clinic and the odds of donor egg and IVF being successful.
With time not on our side we decided to give it one last attempt and headed to Spain. The staff at Ceram were nothing but efficient, caring and supportive and we were over the moon to have a positive test after the first treatment. Two years on, with a beautiful, healthy, little girl - we feel eternally grateful to Dr Benito and his wonderful staff. If you are considering a go at IVF or Donor eggs - I would say you could not get a better, more honest service. Don't put it off, it could change your lives like it did for us. Rachel, UK.

Excellent

Egg Donation

The treatment was excellent and included an unexpected operation to remove an undetected fibroid. Doctors in the UK commented on how well the fibroid removal had been carried out. As a result of the operation the treatment was postponed and we had frozen embryo transfer later on in the year. We now have a beautiful daughter. The team at Ceram were so kind and calm. It was a very marked contrast to conveyor belt, harsh treatment in a private uk clinic.

seen by the same nurses and Dr all the way through treatment

Fertility Specialist Consultation
Were you pleased with the treatment?

Very pleased! The clinic is small and personal and you are seen by the same nurses and Dr all the way through treatment. Some nurses are English and the Spanish staff all speak good English. The clinic is 5 minutes from the beach and the Old Town and is a lovely place to stay.

Would you recommend the clinic?

Definately! Its more relaxed and personal than having treatment in the UK and the holiday environment really helps you to relax during treatment.

Would you return for further treatment?

Yes. We would choose Ceram again if we wanted to add to our family!

Resulted in me getting pregnant

IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation, ICSI - Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection • Paid: 6100 €
Were you pleased with the treatment?

From my first contact in August 2009, the IVF nurse and the Dr have always dealt with all communications and requests for information very promptly and politely. Asking questions was not a problem and it helped because the IVF nurse is english. I had two DEIVF/ICSI cycles, the first in Nov 09 resulted in a miscarriage at 6/7 weeks. After having investigations into the miscarriage in the UK, the Dr was happy to support me in the 2nd cycle with the drug treatment I was on to prevent another miscarriage. The 2nd DEIVF.ICSI cycle in April 2010 resulted in me getting pregnant and our baby is due Jan 2011.

Would you recommend the clinic?

I would definitely recommend the clinic - I have had IVF at a London clinic and this clinic. Because it is smaller, we knew we were going to see the same Dr and nurse at the clinic and this gave us confidence and reassurance that everything was organised. We could contact them any time of the day or night. Initially the clinic was difficult to find (but that was our map reading!) and it is difficult to find parking near the clinic - but that is Marbella! There are hotels/apartments just across the street. They also put me in touch with a very good Acupuncturist.

Would you return for further treatment?

We would return again. It would be an understatement to say we are extremely satisfied with the way the Dr & IVF nurse have treated me & my husband (this include the whole team in fact), nothing has been too much trouble and we would certainly recommend this clinic to other couples seeking IVF treatment.

Fertility

AI - Artificial Insemination

AI - Artificial Insemination - Ceram

This can be used when tubal patency is confirmed and the sperm count is satisfactory. A prepared amount of sperm is injected through a soft catheter into the uterine cavity on the appropriate day of the cycle. If the male partner has no sperm or has a very low sperm count, donor sperm can be substituted.

Blastocyst Transfer

Blastocyst Transfer - Ceram

This can be done in IVF/ICSI treatments. It is when the embryos are grown in culture for up to six days rather than the usual 2-3 days and the best embryo/s can then be selected for transfer.

Cycle Monitoring

Egg Donor

Egg Donor - Ceram

This is suggested when the ovaries have failed due to early menopause, chemotherapy / radiotherapy, or for women who have not responded to stimulation treatment themselves. Donated eggs come from anonymous donors who must be 30 years of age or less and have undergone various medical tests, medical history and assessments prior to donating.

Embryo Donation

Embryo Freezing

Embryo Freezing - Ceram

Vitrification is a new instant freeze procedure for eggs and embryos, which thanks to its high effectiveness has replaced the traditional slow freezing. The advantage of this new technique is that it uses a fast speed cooling, which prevents the formation of intracellular ice crystals that can harm the egg or embryo as happened in slow freezing.

Fertility Specialist Consultation

The initial consultation  takes approximately 2 hours and we would speak about donors, go through how the treatment flows and you would be seen by Dr. Benito for a basic scan and trial embryo transfer (passing an empty catheter through the cervix).

They are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 15:30.

Fertility Test

FET - Frozen Embryo Transfer

This can be done where excess embryos in a fresh cycle have been frozen and the couple wish to have a further cycle of treatment after either a successful pregnancy or an unsuccessful treatment cycle. The embryos are thawed and replaced in either a natural or a hormone assisted cycle dependant on the individual circumstances of the woman.

ICSI - Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection

ICSI - Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection - Ceram

This can be used when only a very small number of sperms are seen. This involves selecting a single sperm and injecting it into a mature egg. The resulting embryos are then placed into the uterine cavity as with IVF.

IMSI - Intracytoplasmic Morphologically-Selected Sperm Injection

IMSI - Intracytoplasmic Morphologically-Selected Sperm Injection - CeramIMSI - Sperm selection - Ceram

IMSI (Intracytoplasmic Morphologically selected Sperm Injection), involves exploration of the sperm using a high resolution microscope reaching a magnification of up to 8000 times. Exploring sperm at this magnification shows defects in sperm heads, shapes and sizes and any sperm abnormalities associated with high DNA fragmentation that cannot be seen in conventional microscopes used for ICSI, only the best morphological sperms will be micro-injected into the eggs, which would lead to higher pregnancy success.
This method is particularly helpful for patients with repeated failed IVF-attempts, to those whose sperm count is low, or has a large number of abnormal or immobile sperms.

IUI - Intrauterine Insemination

IUI - Intrauterine Insemination - Ceram

This can be used when tubal patency is confirmed and the sperm count is satisfactory. A prepared amount of sperm is injected through a soft catheter into the uterine cavity on the appropriate day of the cycle. If the male partner has no sperm or has a very low sperm count, donor sperm can be substituted.

IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation

IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation - Ceram

This is the most effective treatment for infertility. In IVF several follicles grow simultaneously as a result of hormone therapy. Several oocytes (eggs) are then collected and fertilised with sperm in the laboratory. Two or occasionally three are transfered into the womb and the remaining good embryos can be cryopreserved for later use.

PGD - Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis

Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) is a technique consisting in obtaining embryos with “In Vitro Fertilisation”, once the obtained embryos reach the 8 cell stage (normally Day 3), 1 or 2 of the cells are screened for a specific disease. Following this analysis out of the “normal” embryos, the best ones will be selected once they reach Blastocyst stage. In this technique 7 chromosomes will be controlled

Sperm Assessment

Sperm DNA Fragmentation

Sperm Freezing

Surgical Sperm Retrieval

This can be used where no sperm are seen in the ejaculate but this does not necessarily mean no sperm are being manufactured by the testicle. Sperm can be extracted surgically and then used for treatment. This is usually a day surgery procedure and done under local/general anaesthetic.
