William Monks Therapy Services Limited - William Monks, Counsellor

William Monks Therapy Services Limited

Mind and Body Works, 15 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2
I am a Counsellor based in Dublin city Centre available to work with individuals and couples who are experiencing issues and difficulties in their lives and relationships. Issues which I work with include sexuality, bereavement, mental health issues, couple/relationship difficulties, parenting difficulties and many more. I have a great deal of experience of working with individuals having worked as a Counsellor since 2005 and working in therapeutic family support for 14 years. Throughout my work I have found the huge benefit people can get from talking about what they are experiencing i the here and now regarding difficulties and exploring how the past may still be impacting the present. The past does not always create difficulties for people and so the work can something focus only on the here and now with some issues and be short term in support people seek solutions to the difficulties. For others there can be a need for more long term support to explore in more detail experiences they have had and which are impacting on their lives.

Psychotherapy €60 - €80
Psychotherapy:Psychotherapy is a longer term and more in-depth process than supportive counselling. It requires both client and therapist to engage at a much deeper level, to a relational depth. Within the therapeutic alliance, the client can expect to confront and understand many underlying issues that can be a part of, or indeed the cause of their overarching issues and problems. Psychotherapy requires a courageous curiosity, and needs to be facilitated by a professional practitioner, who has received the correct training to properly facilitate the process. Remedy Clinic houses professionally trained psychotherapists that practice numerous psychotherapeutic orientations. There are a number of different psychotherapeutic orientations, that utilize different methods to facilitate their respective process of therapy. Due to this, some clients will find some forms of therapy more suitable for them. In order to make an informed decision please refer to the short brief on each discipline, and then follow the link to the therapist page to find your therapist, by orientation / disciplineOur Therapists Our practicing therapists are qualified and accredited by (or are pre-accredited members of) the prominent accrediting bodies, such as the IACP (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), and the IAHIP (Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Therapy) among others. Please see each individual therapist’s profile for a more in-depth look at their practice, qualifications and the areas in which they specialise. We work in line with upcoming regulatory standards.

Hanover Medical Centre - General Practice in Ireland

Hanover Medical Centre

5 Lazer Lane, Dublin 2
4.8 from 30 verified reviews
He made me feel at ease and decreased my initial stresses very quicklyPhilip, Ireland, 04 08 20

Had a mini medical scare last week and contacted Hanover Medical Centre for a consultation, firstly over the phone and then a face-to-face assessment. The staff on the phones were incredibly professional and helpful in trying to accommodate my (stressful) needs and I would like to say a big thank you to all of them for their help. My appointment was with Dr David Gibson and he was really fantastic. Both over the phone and in person, he made me feel at ease and decreased my initial stresses very quickly. He was very courteous and made a number of phone calls on my behalf to try to find a hospital for a further appointment and pending surgery. He even followed up my appointment with a follow-up phone call to me to see if I had been accommodated with the hospital appointment. A really nice and very personal touch. Thank you, Dr Gibson, for all your help and I would definitely attend again should I be in need of medical care and attention. Many thanks to all at Hanover Medical. :)
