Ronan O' Connor has practiced as a therapist in a variety of different areas including adult mental health services, adult addiction services and in areas supporting adults and young people with personal development, self-awareness and emotional growth. Ronan has specialist experience around working with adult addiction presentations and is an accredited CRA practitioner while he has also spent considerable time working with clients who experience difficulties including, but not limited to, depression and low mood, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship concerns and supporting the understanding of sexuality and gender identity. Ronan has a particular interest in the area of adoption and fostering and has experience of working from both the Adoptee and the Adopter's perspective.
Ronan has by his nature a compassionate and humanistic style to his practice which is grounded in a philosophy that always places the client at the centre of the work. Ronan is a firm believer in therapy being a joint experience between the client and the therapist in which both parties are equal and work in a creative way to best understand the needs of the client.
