About Joanne Burke Acupuncture & Integrative medicine

I specialise in treating chronic migraines and women's health. The 100% natural therapies that I use will help you lesson or even completely eliminate your migraines so that you can live a more fulfilling, active and pain-free life.

I provide results-oriented, natural wellness care for people of all ages.

My goal with each patient is a long-term, self-sustained shift in core factors that determine health and wellness.

These core factors bridge all levels of being -- physical, psychological, even spiritual.
My philosophy is based on the principle that nature's intelligence is encoded within us all, from each cell, to the body, to the spirit. Helping you to call forth that intelligence into its full expression is my mission.

Joanne Burke

Biography:
From a young age, Joanne witnessed the negative side effects from the Western medical care her father received for his multiple sclerosis. The treatments not only took their toll on him, but on her and all their family and friends. She decided there must be a better way and found that the Eastern medical system offered not only greater improvements in chronic disease, but actually improved a variety of symptoms around it such as sleep, energy and pain, overall, having a profound positive affect in multiple areas, including increased overall happiness of family and friends. Joanne studied and graduated from the College of Natural Medicine with a diploma in Acupuncture and Naturopathy. She studied further in Traditional Medicine in Vietnam’s leading WHO Traditional Medicine and Acupuncture hospital. Joanne is a member of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Council of Ireland (TCMCI) and so fully complies with the association’s Code of Ethics and Best practice. She is continually researching, reading, attending seminars and lectures to ensure that she is growing as a practitioner and therefore be of the best possible service to her patients. Joanne passionately believes that health is our greatest asset and that it is important to give ourselves the time and respect to really look after our bodies. It is not selfish to want to be healthy. Joanne believes in treating the “whole person” and not only the presenting symptoms; so she knows, it is important to know where a dis-harmony is rooted. Joanne combines Western medicine objectives (temperature, heart rate, bp) with Eastern medicine treatment protocols. As part of your consultation a personalised action plan will be created to solve your pain and symptoms once and for all. Joanne wants to ensure that you are comfortable during your sessions together and are confident in whatever adjustments or changes that may be needed outside of the clinic. Joanne’s aim is to ensure that you reach the levels of wellness that you have always dreamed of and remember “the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” Lao Tzu. Before beginning her career in Traditional Eastern Medicine, Joanne completed an Electronic Engineering Degree from GMIT Galway and has 10 years experience working in the IT industry.
