I received my sleeve surgery, and much needed painful gall bladder removed, whilst receiving Bariatric surgery. I researched for over 12 months where to go, as I wanted to be sure it was right for me. Plus confident very experienced and great with someone like me, an English only speaker, travelling alone.
Their UK representative Jo, also a sleeve patient, from the UK, was great and answered all my questions and concerns. I was added to a WhatsApp group, where I could ask any pre and post patients questions too, this was brilliant and helps make friends.
Yalmaz, who speaks English, was in touch with me ready for my flight. A photo received to recognise him at the airport. Driven to the hospital and he came every day, to check i was ok, or needed anything or had any questions, nothing was too much trouble.
The nurses speak little English but use their translator app to communicate. Dr Isa Kaman uses pictures to explain the procedure prior to surgery. I was taken to theatre, sedated, and woke in my bed, with surgery completed. This was painful, but immediate pain relief was given. The following morning, Dr Isa Kaman visits and also daily to check healing ok. Once satisfied well, and healing, drain removed, dressings in place, and Yalmiz transfers you to the hotel opposite to recuperate and rest. The rooms are nice and cosy, with breakfast and soup twice daily provided.
