Excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, is a condition where patients sweat profusely for no reason.  Patients either sweat excessively in their hands, underarms, forehead, feet or, in extreme cases, all over their body.

How is Excessive Sweating treated?

Patients should take all prescribed medications correctly. They should avoid strenuous exercise and lifting heavy objects for at least a month.  Patients should not smoke or drink alcohol for at least a month.

Physicians inject B.T.X Type A into the affected area in order to prevent the sweat glands from overproducing sweat. Sweat glands are stimulated by nerves that release a chemical called acetylcholine and cause sweat production.

I went to The Ailesbury Clinic after being disappointed by another high profile clinic for a sagging neckline issue. I was amazed at the first FREE consultation with a lovely registered nurse Rebecca that although I wasn't a suitable candidate for Elexis, they are so honest not money grabbers she actually brought me through to the lovely Patrick himself! he assessed me and gave me hope. Then COVID! I got a call from Ailesbury after that and went in again to see if threads would work. Elexis would have been an option with threads but I have a titanium implant in my shoulder so that ruled that out. Patrick again came in he's just so kind and genius with his time and discussed with Dr.Kielty on other options I've never seen such effort put in. When Patrick even went to dig out an older version called Polaris there was no consent form - No stopping him there .....he called me into his office and gave me the number of a specialist in this area who does Not Advertise...he turned down money said no point if it wasn't going to give me the results I wanted. This is rare in society now. I had 2 visits the staff were wonderful (thanks Marie also) and I will go back in a heartbeat as there are no gimmicks, videos or brochures promising the sun, moon and stars and would recommend them to anyone. Another fantastic surprise despite the prestige I was also amazed that the prices were within anyone's reach and some "Skin Clinics" ask more. Thanks again Patrick hope to see you and your wonderful team can see why they love working with you! I can see how much you really care and your success is not just down to your brilliance as an Aesthetic Doctor but Supreme Customer Service. I have to supply a price paid I will emphasise I paid just my expenses getting to the clinic

Focal hyperhidrosis is the more common type involving excessive sweating on the feet, hands and, in about 30 - 40% of cases, the armpits. The face may also be affected, but less often. Even less common is gustatory hyperhidrosis, when sweating on the face is triggered by hot or spicy food. Neurotoxin Injection Treatment is recommended for the treatment of focal hyperhidrosis affecting the armpits (axillary hyperhidrosis) when other treatments have not worked. 2. Generalised hyperhidrosis affects the whole body. It is much less common and is usually caused by another illness such as an infection, diabetes or when the thyroid gland is overactive. The excessive sweating usually stops when the illness is treated.
