About Agilaflex Clinic

No matter how the pain in your back, neck or joints started, the good news is that the end is now in sight. You’ve arrived at Agilaflex, Winchester’s centre of chiropractic, osteopathy and physiotherapy specialists.

Unlike GPs, we have no quotas to meet, targets to hit or time restraints to stick to. Unlike sports centres, we treat all kinds of pain, not those that result from injury. And unlike some centres of alternative medicine, we aim to clarify rather than mystify.

We’ve successfully treated all kinds of problems using established, evidence-based methods as verified by the General Chiropractic, Osteopathy and Health Professions Councils. We go to great lengths to understand the exact nature of your complaint, employing the latest techniques and X-ray equipment. All of which is aimed at getting you back to a normal, pain-free existence, whether that means putting on your socks or putting in a round on the golf course.

Book online, call us for an appointment or just come in and talk to us over a coffee.

You’ll find it’s not only a welcome relief to find someone who’ll listen. But also reassuring to discover people who’ll bend over backwards to help you.

Chiropractor Consultation

Chiropractic is an independent registered primary health care profession, offering highly successful treatment for back pain, neck pain, general joint pain and headaches. Chiropractors working in England must train full-time for four years and complete one supervised year after graduation before becoming state registered practitioners. The effectiveness of chiropractic in helping those with low back pain was detailed in the 2009 NHS National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence guidelines.

Chiropractic treatment is a gentle manual therapy system, based on specific joint and muscle manipulation combined with advice on posture and exercise. This hands-on approach first identifies, through a comprehensive physical examination, the root cause of pain before recommending a course of treatment. In carrying this out full consideration is given to the patients work situation, social environment, level of physical activity and lifestyle in general.

Physiotherapy

£42 - £110

Physiotherapist Consultation

Our physiotherapy care is aimed at supporting you in your return to normal, often following an injury, surgery, or trauma, often termed rehabilitation. Whether your problem is a sprained joint, back or neck pain or another associated condition, our physiotherapists can help you directly or guide you to an appropriate course of care with one of our other practitioners.

Our physiotherapists use a combination of treatments that generally includes exercise-based care, ultrasound and interferential tools. This approach can be particularly effective in the management of joint conditions that may be as a result of overuse or repetitive strain type movements or activity based injuries. Often, this type of care will involve rebalancing muscle ratios and guidance in how to better perform in your own exercise and hobbies.

All of our physiotherapists are registered with the UK statutory regulatory body – The Health Professions Council. Only professionals suitably qualified and registered with this body may use the title physiotherapist. In addition our physiotherapists are registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists – the educational and industry body representing the industry. This body binds all of their members, and our clinicians, to their rules of professional conduct.

Our musculoskeletal physiotherapy practitioners have specialised in the areas of back, neck and joint conditions. This they have done following their full time degree education in the subject and significant professional experience prior to joining Agilaflex Clinic.

If you are uncertain as to the type of care you need, all of our clinicians can provide you guidance on what course of care will be most suitable to help you in your return to normal.

Osteopathy

Osteopath Consultation

Osteopathy is a drug-free, non-invasive manual therapy that consists of the gentle manual techniques and mobilisations that are targeted at all areas contributing to your complaint, not just the primary area. This can be particularly effective when the anatomy causing your problem is very inflamed or tender to touch. This sensitisation can often happen if your problem has been bothering you for some time.

Before starting with Agilaflex Clinic, our Osteopaths completed a minimum of a four/five year degree in Osteopathy, covering physiology, pathology, pharmacology, nutrition and biomechanics. On top of this during their education they have completed a course of a minimum of 1,000 hours of clinical training prior to starting in practice.

All of our Osteopaths are registered with the statutory regulatory body in the UK - The General Osteopathic Council. Their license is renewed annually and is a mandatory requirement for them to practice.

If you are uncertain as to the type of care you need, all of our clinicians can provide you guidance on what course of care will be most suitable to help you in your return to normal.
