What is a Dental Implant?

Dental implants are artificial screws made of titanium or zirconium oxide that connect the jawbone and a dental restoration like a crown or denture. They are also called ‘endosseous’ implants or fixtures. They are an artificial tooth root. Once implanted, the implant integrates with the surrounding bone like part of the body. Patients who require multiple dental implants or supporting surgical procedures should wait for around two weeks before travelling. They should meet the dental surgeon to get a certification of being fit to travel before embarking on their journey.

I would like to thank Dr. O'Connor for completing the orthodontic treatment that the other doctor couldn't do. For 4 years I attended another orthodontist who was unable to finish straightening my teeth. when Dr. O'Connor was recommended to me, from the very first minute I knew that I was in good hands. Within a month, Dr. O Connor made the teeth straightened according to my expectations and the braces were taken off where another doctor could not do it for 4 years. My only regret is that I didn't find Dr. O Connor from the very beginning. At the end of the treatment, I bought a whitening kit from the doctor and I can finally enjoy a beautiful smile for the rest of my life. I rung up this morning to try and get an appointment my dentist, unfortunately, he was on holiday so they were able to fit me in with Dr Raz. He was amazing. I had an extraction and the tooth fractured but he put me at ease all the way through. I never felt a thing. His care was second to none.
