The Dentists - Rotorua

Dr. Stewart Edward graduated from the School of Dentistry, University of Otago. He joined the practice of Ian Fowler in 1971 and continued in his own practice until 2011. He then joined The Dentist Pukaki from the time and works full time providing general dentistry. Stewart has a background in health administration both for the dental profession being a past president of the New Zealand Dental Association and for the health sector. He is a former chair of the Lakes District Health Board, a Justice of the Peace, awarded a Rotary Paul Harris Fellowship Award in 1997 and has been appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 1997 for services to the community. He is a life member of the New Zealand Dental Association.

Joshs roots are in Dunedin way down in the cold south. He graduated from the University Of Otago with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2013. Friendly and compassionate, he always puts the needs of his patients above all else. "I am excited about working with a great team to provide quality care to all my patients. These are really exciting times in dentistry; we have a lot of new technology on the rise. These technologies change the way we can do dentistry and it allows us to provide ever improving treatments. There is also a growing trend out there to do minimally invasive Dentistry, and that is something I want to be a part of".

Becky gained her BDS with distinction, graduating from Otago University in 2012. Originally born in South Africa she moved to New Zealand at a young age. She grew up in the small town of Masterton in the Wairarapa before moving to Dunedin to continue her studies. Becky is very friendly and interested in providing a positive dental experience for each and every one of her patients, striving to meet all their treatment needs. She likes to focus on minimally invasive dentistry, early detection of potential problems and patient education. “I believe if people are educated in how dental problems occur, how they can be prevented, how they can be solved then they become a lot more engaged in the process and take more responsibility in their dental treatment”. Becky is very involved and enthusiastic in continued professional development and education. "We are all continually learning. I enjoy learning about new technology and techniques that I can use to help provide my patients with a more effective and more pleasant dental experience".
