They have been admired and look totally naturalPatricia, UK, 07 08 20

This is my husband's experience: After unpleasant experiences with the school dentist, I was not looking forward to the process. Noel Perkins and his team have been superb. Noel came highly recommended by my sister, who’d had equally unpleasant experiences as a child, her high praise was well-founded and justified the long journey for each appointment. The care and attention to detail have been second to none. Noel is both calm and calming, completely putting me at ease. He explained every single stage of proceedings. His initial examination was lengthy and comprehensive, I was given various options and was pleased to see, I paid for treatment along the way, not in initial one-off payment. Noel advised me that wearing dentures since I was a child had caused rare jaw problems, top and bottom, but he has efficiently overcome all complications, with meticulous attention to detail. I needed bottom dentures to be able to chew, NHS partial lower dentures had never worked, despite having 2 different sets. I had the implants put in; the same day I had remaining bottom teeth removed along with bone augmentation. It was a long appointment, the anaesthetic was amazing, I was awake but totally pain-free. I thought I’d been in the chair 20 minutes, but it had been much longer. Temporary dentures were fitted to click on implants. Truthfully the whole process afterwards was no more painful than a normal extraction. A soft diet afterwards was crucial. I had a couple of appointments to adjust the bottom plate while the gum was healing. I had restorative work on top teeth, root canal, crown all were pain-free, not surprising as Noel is highly skilled and experienced. I travelled to Carlisle to Noel's technician Robert Taggart, who is a master at his craft. He too spoke very highly of Noel. Initially, Robert made adjustments to the existing top plate, whilst bottom implants and gum healed, later he crafted the final top and bottom dentures, after the healing period. Having had NHS dentures for over 50 years, where impressions are taken and teeth picked up on next appointment, these Gerber dentures are a revelation, so natural looking. I had no idea how much care and attention to detail would be taken to make these. There were numerous fittings with different bite points but the end result is totally worth it. They have been admired and look totally natural, as well as being more comfortable. This has been a two-year journey, made longer by COVID 19 lockdown, but it has been totally worth it. From the beginning, Crossbank is not like any other dental surgery I’ve ever been to. The whole friendly and relaxing experience put me at ease and I have already recommended Noel Perkins to others as an empathetic, highly skilled professional dentist who truly cares.
