MBBS (QLD) Dip OBS (RACOG) FRACGP MBA

graduated from the University of Queensland in 1981 and has been in general practice at Mermaid Beach since 1986. He was awarded a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1987 and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of GP’s in 1988. Special interests are in Asthma, pregnancy, weight loss and spinal manipulation.

MBBS (UQ) ACNEM

graduated from the University of Queensland in 1973, working at Southport with Dr George Bertsos.  His primary areas of concern involve the use of advanced techniques to determine and manage cardiovascular and cerebrovascular risk, plus the management of Fibromyalgia Syndrome, Dysautonomia, and problems associated with food intolerance including atopic eczema, neonatal colic, reflux, and IBS.

MBBS (Syd) FRACGP

graduated from Sydney University in 1973, then moved to Brisbane. He worked in Queensland country hospitals for 2 years before settling in his Coffs Harbour practice for 15 years. His areas of interest are sports medicine, skin disorders and Antenatal care.

Mbbs Fracgp    

graduated from the University of Queensland in 1992 and worked at Gold Coast Hospital and PAH in Brisbane. He worked in Gympie and in the northern suburbs of Brisbane before joining us. His interests include acupuncture, especially for muscle injuries and pain relief.

Mbbs (Uq)

graduated MBBS 1972 from University of Queensland. Was Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar at Gold Coast Hospital and Mater Mothers in Brisbane before going into general practice in Southport in 1977.  Moved to Pindara Medical Centre in 1984 then on to Sanctuary Cove in 1987. He amalgamated his practice with Riverside at Nerang in 1999. Moved to Mermaid Central in 2004 where he loves the wonderful staff. 

Mbbs Fracgp Dip Obs 

graduated from the University of Queensland in 1984. She was awarded a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1988, a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of GP’s in 1991 and a Certificate in Family Planing in 1995. She has worked in general practice on the Coast for over 10 years and her area of interest is women’s health.

Fracgp

has been practising medicine for 20 years firstly in Colombia, then New Zealand and now Australia. Her interests lie in preventative medicine, women’s health, chronic disease management, skin cancer checks, general practise and family planning where she is trained in device insertions. Angela has extensive experience in Cosmetic Enhancement using anti-wrinkle treatments and fillers.

Mbbs (Sydney) Fracgp

graduated from the University of Sydney in 1989. She was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1996. She is a certified Triple P practitioner (Level 3). Her area of special interest is womens health and paediatrics. Lil joined the Mermaid Central Medial Clinic in 2005.

B.Pharm(RSA)MBBCh RSA), MRCGP (UK), FRACGP, Dip Family Planning

graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa with a degree in Pharmacy in 1987 and a degree in Medicine in 1996.  He requalified in the UK, becoming a Member of the Royal College of the United Kingdom, and later a Fellow of the Australian College of General Practitioners.  His special interests are travel medicine, ante-natal care, minor surgery, skin disorders, care of the elderly and paediatrics.  He also has extensive training in Cosmetic Enhancement, including wrinkle reduction and fillers. He conducts Skin Cancer Clinics here on Thursdays, and his Diploma in Family Planning has lead him to being available for insertions.

Mbbs Bsc Fracgp 

Dr Paton has been practicing as a GP on the Gold Coast for 5 years.

She completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland and general practice qualifications through the Central and Southern Queensland Training Consortium. Dr Paton has a particular interest in antenatal care and women’s health and has undergone additional procedural training in this field. She also has an interest in travel vaccinations, dietary intolerances, and preventative health.  Dr Paton completed a Bachelor of Science at the Australian National University with a focus on genetics, immunology and microbiology. She has a young son and is empathetic to all parents dealing with colic.
