About Building Bridges Counselling and Psychotherapy

Making the decision to find a counsellor can be a difficult task, whether it is your first time or you are returning back to counselling. It can be a huge step in itself, as you may be experiencing a number of feelings, such as: what if I look silly, what if my problems seem unimportant or what if I don't know where to start? This is normal; honestly do not let this stop you. Please don't hesitate to call me and ask any questions, and then decide if you would like to come along to a free consultation? It's my belief that we all have our own answers to our difficulties and sometimes all we need is a safe place to explore our concerns. Also there are times when the ones closest to us aren't the best people to discuss our concerns, as our relationships with family and friends can often be the source of our distress. At Building Bridges I provide

a safe caring, non-judgemental and supportive space which allows people to explore issues within their life that are presently causing distress. Therapists use different approaches and interventions to suit the requirements of the client. The goal within the therapeutic relationship is help the client work towards making more positive choices.

Very very easy to talk too

5 50 Counselling • Paid: €50

Very very easy to talk too. He genuinely knows if you are someone he can help straight away. I personally am someone who doesn't talk to people but feel comfortable around him.

Plan A Visit

On planning a visit some clients have suggested the following concerns:

1.

Stress is getting the best of me, and it is getting harder to concentrate on work, family, and relationships

2.

Intense feelings and thoughts make it difficult for me to concentrate and focus on what’s important.

3.

I try, but I’m struggling to find the answers.

4.

I am standing on the threshold of becoming "all that I can be" and I don't have a clue about how to take the first step.

5.

I am having trouble making decisions; family and friends run my life.

6.

I don't fit in and don't know how to get past hello with new acquaintances.

7.

So much has changed, and I no longer know who I am.

8.

I worry a lot about my weight; I am preoccupied with food.

9.

I am my own worst enemy.  I don't treat myself well, and I question whether I should even exist.

10.

The "unspeakable" has happened, and I need to get past it.

These are some concerns clients present with when attending Building Bridges. Initial consultation is free of charge in order for my client to be content and confident in working with me to address their concerns.

Bereavement Counselling (50 mins)

Bereavement counselling offers the opportunity to explore, understand and work through feelings of grief. Although everyone's personal reaction to a bereavement is different, most people experience some of the following emotional responses when someone close to them dies: disbelief, trauma, anger, sadness, relief, guilt, depression, anxiety, despair, longing and loneliness.

At Building Bridges Counselling and Psychotherapy I will work with you at your pace to discuss your journey without your loved one. In my personal life I have lost family and friends that are irreplaceable yet through counselling I feel so much stronger. Although they have passed they are never forgotten.
