Pearl Obstetrics Gynaecology

He graduated from the University of Edinburgh medical school. In 1999 he was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and was appointed to the Oxford higher specialist training program in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. He won a Best Teacher award from the University of Oxford medical school in 2003, and published research & invited articles regularly in academic journals. He was awarded the UK Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in obstetrics & gynaecology by Oxford, the RCOG and the Specialist Training Authority in 2004. He has completed several additional advanced training programs in different specialist areas of obstetrics & gynaecology.Mark is a Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, is accredited by RANZCOG in colposcopy, and also holds accreditation at RANZCOG level 5 in advanced laparoscopic surgery.

She is a Registered Nurse and Midwife, with Diploma & Graduate Diploma training at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children and King Edward Memorial Hospital in Perth. Her clinical training & experience means she has a high level understanding of patients’ concerns and needs. This adds an extra dimension to the administrative service we offer our patients. Michelle has extensive experience in setting-up and managing O&G and general medical practices. She is a member of the Australian Association of Practice Managers. She was recently honoured in their national Practice Manager of the Year awards, recognising her ability, professional development and commitment to the profession. Outside of health care she serves her community as vice-chairman of an independent private college board.

She achieved her nursing qualifications in 1981 at Fremantle hospital; she then completed postgraduate studies in Paediatrics at Princess Margaret Hospital. Amie consolidated her professional skills through community nursing and in professional nanny positions overseas. In recent years she has been an important part of the surgical (especially gynaecological) nursing team at Kaleeya hospital. Her extensive experience in acute surgical nursing has made an invaluable contribution to our obstetric & gynaecological practice here at Pearl. Amie’s caring and empathetic manner is an important support to our patients through their journey back to health.
