He is cand.med. From 1984, specialist ophthalmologists 1994. Studied medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (Dublin) and the University of Tromsø. Many underage member of ESCR (European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons). Studied ESCR Refractive Surgery Didactic Course. Studied ESCR Surgical Skills Training Courses in LASIK, PRK, LASEK and Epi LASIK. STAAR ICL certified surgeon. Member of Norwegian Optometrist Association (NOF) and the Norwegian Medical Association. Versatile experience in the public and private healthcare, 8 years as consultant including one affiliated University Hospital of North Norway (UNN) with teaching medical students / medical students. He has a very extensive experience with intraoculær eye surgery after thousands of operations. Refractive surgery (operations for refractive errors / "spectacle error") with intraocular lenses Pseudoakkomodativ lens, restorers , for presbyopia / alderslangsynthet, ICL for myopia, astigmatism and hyperopia. It also performed "Refractive Lens Exchange" (RLE).
