In 1992, Dr Malyutina graduated from Rostov State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical Institute, Medical Faculty. In 1993, she finished the internship at Chair of Eye Diseases No.1.
From 1993 till 1995, Dr Malyutina studied in the clinical residency of the world famous institute of eye diseases – MNTK “Eye Microsurgery named after academician Svyatoslav Fyodorov” in Moscow.
Till 2001, she worked at the same institute in the Centre for Refractive Surgery headed by Prof. A.I. Ivashina, the originator of refractive surgery in this country. At the same time, as Medical Director, she administered Fedorov`s Mobile Eye Clinic. Maliutina I.S. is a follower of S.N. Federov and is active in developing the glorious traditions of Fedorov's School.
Dr Malyutina is the clinic's leading surgeon, masterful in contemporary techniques of both refractive and general ophthalmic surgery, and performs over 1,500 operations per year.
Dr Malyutina is active both as a practitioner and a researcher. Her interests include issues of progressive myopia treatment, search of optimal hypermetropia correction methods, bioptics (refractive errors correction with simultaneous phacoemulsification), and glaucoma treatment. She participated in working out new collagen compositions for scleroplastic operations for progressive myopia treatment. She defended Ph.D. thesis on “Prophylaxis of complications after Lasic surgical procedures”.
In 2003, Dr Malyutina did her training course in the USA on “Private Medicine in Ophthalmology”. She is a regular participant in Russian and international ophthalmologic forums, and a member of the European Society of Refractive and Cataract Surgeons.
