Background and ExperienceTracy has over 9 years clinical experience working in mental health services within the NHS and for the last 4 years has worked as a CBT practitioner. She continues to work in the NHS as a therapist and a supervisor in CBT.
Tracy works with people with a diverse range of presentations and complexities, providing short term, supported self-help work at a GP practice as well as longer term specialist intervention at a busy Community Mental Health Team.
Tracy offers initial assessment and treatment, using CBT and other evidence based therapy models, for a range of distressing mental health concerns and psychological problems such as:
* depression
* anxiety
* eating disorders
* interpersonal and relationship difficulties
* personality disorders
* worries and stress at work
* issues around grief and loss
As well as Tracys academic and research background in Psychology and specialist training in CBT, her work is informed by her Occopational Health training and experience and most recently the post graduate course she completed in Coaching Psychology. Tracy has also been closely supervised using Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). Although Cognitive and Behavioural Theory is the main theory underpinning her therapy approach, Tracy uses her experience and training in other psychological based therapies to work in an integrative way, collaborating closely with the needs of patients to identify the best way forward.
Tracy has also undertaken clinical supervision skills training in order to provide supervision to other therapists.
