The Osteopath is extremely friendlyPaul, Ireland, 16 08 23

I went to NCR Osteopath on the basis of a referral from a friend. I had pain in my upper back and I had been to two separate physio therapists who did not give me relief. After just two visits to this clinic I woke up feeling a significant reduction in pain. I continued the exercises that were prescribed to me and I'm over a year pain free now. Sacha is extremely friendly and if you nervous about going he will make you calm with his energy in seconds. I can not recommend him enough, if your suffering any injury / pain then don't hesitate to make a booking.

I would highly recommend Will to anyone in pain and see the treatment throughAnn, Ireland, 27 11 21

Our family and extended family have been to Will for many years with back and joint problems and he has always given us such relief. I have been attending him lately with severe neck and shoulder pain and Will has done dry needling, which is sore at the time but the relief afterwards is just fantastic. I would highly recommend Will to anyone in pain and see the treatment through.

SOMAdublin - Somatic Movement Education in Dublin City Centre

SOMAdublin

12 Brunswick Place, Dublin, 2
Somatic Movement Class / Somatic Exercise Class In a Somatic Exercise Class, you will learn a series of self-care movements to release tight muscles on the front, back and sides of your body. The overall goal is to become more aware of habitual muscle tensions in order to release them (and get rid of them ). The movement sequences are practiced in a slow manner to allow the brain to ‘catch up’ again, always within your individual comfortable range of motion and never pushing into pain. You are retraining your brain to send the correct information to the muscles (relax or contract) to allow for full control and good muscle function. For a one to one class, I will design a series of exercises specifically tailored to your needs. Every client is unique, so we will find the perfect variation of a movement that suits you. In a group class, I will teach with a more general approach while adjusting to each clients profile if possible. Ideally, you start with some Clinical sessions and continue to refine your movement with Somatic Exercise classes. I have trained as a Somatic Exercise Coach under Martha Peterson (Essential Somatics) beginning of 2014 to teach Somatic Movement classes. Clinical Somatic Education is a powerful one-to-one application of Somatic Education. Done on a wide and low table, the practitioner guides movement and uses different techniques to release stiff muscles and encourage smooth, unrestricted movement. The range of motion is always in your control, and we never push through painful movements. We do not manipulate, but educate, so the pain is not coming back after a few weeks – given you do your daily 5-30min home practice. Taking responsibility for your body is essential to refine your sensory-motor control and keep you pain free. Ideally, you’ll only need between 3-6 sessions, and then continue with the self-care exercises, which you can do on your own without getting dependent on regular sessions to ‘fix’ you. Gain freedom and control again!

Spinal Rehabilitation - Neck and Back Injury
Pilates €8 - €130
The benefits of PilatesThe top benefits doing of Pilates exercise that people report are that they become stronger, longer, leaner, and more able to do anything with grace and easeimprovements in range of motion, flexibility, circulation, posture, and abdominal strength -- and decreases in back, neck and joint pain.Pilates has boomed in the last two years, at the Dublin Holistic Centre.  The amount of students attending who suffer with poor posture, or back issues predominantly resulting from long term seated jobs with little movement or poor ergonomically designed desks and chairs compounded with stress has really catapulted back pain and neck pain into the main stream. Having seen an Osteopath or Massage Therapist to ease any structural or muscular tensions etc, the next step is in strengthening core back and abdominal muscles to ensure at all times, not just at work, that your posture and core strength is engaged ALL THE TIME, naturally, thus not collapsing when seated.   Once you have completed a 6 week Beginners course, there's no holding back, you will love how much stronger your core feels, and be amazed how far you can grow and push yourselves.  There are students who are in their 50's and 60's doing our classes who easily push themselves into Plank simply by having gained core strength and stability.  DON'T BE SHY, try a Pilates class today, although the secret is in finding a GREAT teacher...

Really appreciate that I was contacted quickly after leaving a voicemail to fit me in for an appointment on that day which was badly needed. Excellent professional serviceNoel, Ireland, 07 10 20

Knee Treatment Excellent professional service. The lady is highly intelligent and experienced. She is completely thorough in her treatment. She explains everything in detail and most importantly she fixed my knee injury. She is very pleasant and lovely to deal with. She is priced very reasonable and she is honest, for example, if she feels one visit was enough to treat the problem then she doesn’t try to mislead you and bring you back for her financial gain like others physio’s do. Highly recommend Beaumont Physiotherapy

Everything explained in terms I understood and even insightfulSharon, dublin, 06 02 23

Initial consultation free, thorough collaborative chat and felt very at ease throughout. Had deep tissue laser therapy for post fusion surgery. Everything explained in terms I understood and even insightful. Scheduled plan (package deal of 6 sessions was very affordable comparing on google Dublin) flexible appointments & app: reminders. Excellent outcome for me (decrease in pain, mobility loosening). Have other longstanding issues that would benefit from John's input.John kinda gives you insight into the psychology/physical/pain perception /science of injury/issues (also with links) just helps to understand my own history with back problems. I felt very comfortable, confident and motivated as the treatment went on. He genuinely was interested in my well-being, encouraging me. I never felt rushed. He's funny and caring at the same time. I most definitely will go back with a separate issue.

Back Pain
Dry Needling involves multiple advances of a filament needle into the muscle in the region of a “Trigger Point’. The aim of Dry Needling is to achieve a local twitch response to release muscle tension and pain. Dry needling is an effective treatment for chronic pain of neuropathic origin with very few side effects. This technique is unequaled in finding and eliminating neuromuscular dysfunction that leads to pain and functional deficits. The needle used is very thin and most subjects do not even feel it penetrate the skin. A healthy muscle feels very little discomfort with insertion of this needle. However if the muscle is sensitive and shortened or has active trigger points within it, the subject will feel a sensation like a muscle cramp -‘the twitch response’. The patient also may feel a reproduction of “their” pain which is a helpful diagnostic indicator for the practitioner attempting to diagnose the cause of the patients symptoms. Patients soon learn to recognize and even welcome this sensation as it results in deactivating the trigger point, reducing pain and restoring normal length function to the involved muscle.

I am so glad that I started my recovery hereCatherine, Ireland, 10 05 21

I was so impressed by Alan and his team. Following a car accident, I was in a lot of pain and suffering. From the first visit, I felt I was really listened to. Alan identified Costochondritis as one of my issues and worked on my rib cage area. That was someplace to start. I also have a number of injuries, cervical and thoracic pain and Alan identified a muscle weakness that had led to my shoulder blade moving. This was causing so much pain and over a number of weeks with suitable exercises and physiotherapy Alan had the muscles stronger and the shoulder blade back in place. Over the years I have attended Physios who give you moves to do but don't massage the muscles. This is where LL differs. I would recommend Alan in Laurel Lodge Physio. I am so glad that I started my recovery here.
