Appointments can be made with or without a doctor’s referral. Normally, you will be seen within two days. The initial consultation takes about forty five minutes and includes a fifteen minute assessment giving you the chance to describe and discuss your injury. The physiotherapist will then examine and discuss your injury to establish a diagnosis and treatment plan which will be fully explained to you. This is then followed by a thirty minute treatment. If further treatment is required these will each take thirty minutes and will involve on-going assessment and treatment. Treatments include: Mobilisation, Manipulation, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Release, Massage, Exercise, Lifestyle Advice, The Bowen Technique, Ultrasound, Laser, Traction, Orthotics, Back Care Programmes.
