Mr Peter King

Job Title:
  Physiotherapist
Biography:
The clinic is run by Peter King, who is a Registered Osteopath, State Registered Physiotherapist, member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapist, advanced member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. In addition he is also one of only four people worldwide to have received ‘Menkyo Kaiden’ (a full master’s licence) in the Hichibuku system of Traditional Japanese Medicine. Peter learnt this system of natural medicine under the school’s head teacher in Japan, which includes Shiatsu type bodywork, therapeutic exercises, ‘seitai’ Japanese osteopathic type techniques, acupuncture, dietary and herbal medicine. Peter is also a tutor at the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine and has taught both traditional Japanese Medicine and osteopathy across Europe, North America and Asia. His most recent teaching commitments have been in Canada, Greece, Denmark and Switzerland. During 2012, he will be teaching in San Francisco, Italy and Gran Canaria.
Mr Andrew Graham - at The King Clinic

Mr Andrew Graham

Biography:
Attended the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic medicine (SIOM) under the tutelage of Peter and graduated with a 2:1 honours degree. He has been working with the team at the King clinic since August 2010. Whilst at SIOM, Andrew undertook a research proposal into the Form and Function of the Sacroiliac joint and the treatment of lower back pain with the use of Muscle Energy Techniques (active stretching of muscles). He uses a great deal of these stretches within his treatments and will offer advice to patients so that they may continue to improve after their treatment session. Andrew has also achieved good results with patients suffering from shoulder and neck pain, which he treats using manipulations, articulations and soft tissue techniques. Before training as an osteopath, Andrew studied Sport and Exercise science to degree level, and has used that knowledge in his previous career as a circuit training and gym instructor. He is still involved in sport and regularly takes part in 10k running events and completed his first triathlon last year.
