CBT can help you to change how you think (“Cognitive”) and what you do (“Behaviour)”. These changes can help you to feel better. It focuses on the “here and now” problems and difficulties. I also use various theoretical and therapeutic approaches with an aim to adapt to your needs and problems. Have a look for helpful downloads. Also google your issue or issues and we will discuss what you might need in your counselling sessions. Hopefully I will be able to help you help yourself!
Psychotherapist Consultation up to €50
There are many reasons why people decide to seek the help of a therapist. Sometimes issues from a hurt childhood can result in feeling of low self esteem and lack of confidence. These latter feelings can impact on life in the present including relationship difficulties and confusion in making decisions.Dealing with the many losses, including bereavement, as we negotiate our way through life can seem too much to cope with and lead to feelings of despair, hopelessness, meaningless, depression and anxiety.
Counselling up to €50
A relationship with a therapist is a unique experience in which the therapist and the client meet in a space which is confidential and non-judgmental, where the client is fully accepted and acknowledged as a unique human being.Therapy is not about giving advice; rather it is a safe place where feelings which may have been buried can be explored and acknowledged. This can result in an ability to identify inner resources and develop skills to cope with problems and crises in a way which can lead to greater self acceptance and feelings of self worth.Psychotherapy seeks to look in depth at issues. Usually the issue has its origins in childhood. Problems caused by childhood experiences or the way a person sees and thinks about themselves are the main reasons why a person looks to psychotherapy as these issues can cause problems in the present. The purpose of psychotherapy is to get to the root of the problem thus enabling the individual to make positive lasting changes.
