My first visit I just felt so at ease and comfortableCaroline, Ireland, 27 11 19

I went to Wendy when I have to have sleep issues and I found her approach was amazing. I felt so comfortable opening up and telling her honestly what was on my mind and I feel this was needed in order to get the help I needed and get my sleep back on track. Wendy is very professional and has an amazing ability to explain and give excellent advice. She is so good at what she does. My first visit I just felt so at ease and comfortable, the setting in the hotel is perfect. I would highly recommend Wendy to anyone that is going through a tough time personally, at work or whatever the issue may be, Wendy gave me skills that I have no doubt help me in my life going forward, thank you.

Psychotherapy is a talking therapy that allows you focus on current issues in your life, but we also look together at past situations in your life which may feed into your current concerns. This brings greater awareness into your life to help you deal with the matter. If you feel you need to talk through problems in work, if you are experiencing bullying, a recent death, job loss or relationship issues, we can work together to help you deal with the matter and put it behind you.

Fergus Breen Counselling & Psychotherapy - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland
Ferg offers a safe space for his clients to talk through their experiences, emotions, and behaviours. He sees counselling as a journey of self-exploration, increasing levels of self-understanding and awareness. As a result, one is able to identify more rewarding ways of thinking and acting. He is passionate about helping his clients to discover new resources inside of themselves as they remove blocks to personal growth. SESSIONSCounselling sessions are typically 50 minutes long, once a week. The timing and duration of therapy depends on individual client preferences. Treatment can be arranged on a short or long-term basis. The first session is introductory, designed to explore specific needs of the client and to answer questions. This session is also used to further explain therapy and discuss confidentiality, fees, and cancellation policies. The client always has the power to end sessions. In order to bring healthy closure to the counselling relationship, last meetings are usually discussed in advance. If needed, Ferg also offers therapy via video conference.  SPECIALITIESAnxietyDepressionLow MoodOCDAngerSelf-EsteemGrief and LossPersonal GrowthRelationshipsSchool Refusal  Ferg also offers supervision and support for staff teams and conducts speaking engagements to encourage young people in self-discovery and making positive life decisions. Lotus Counselling - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

Lotus Counselling

Edenvale House, New Road, Clondalkin, D22 T2T4
Lotus Counselling's goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for clients who may be facing a range of difficulties such as anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem issues, grief etc. It can be a courageous step to turn to a stranger for support. Counselling offers a space where you can uncover your inner strengths and identify life goals based on your individual wants and needs. We can offer you a safe place to gain awareness and insight, as well as learn strategies to manage uncomfortable thoughts, emotions and behaviours. I am trained in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy which means I do not follow one particular discipline or school of thought. Rather than a 'one size fits all' approach I find it more beneficial to integrate a range of different theories and techniques based on the individual client's needs. These include but are not limited to Humanistic Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-based Therapy, Gestalt therapy and Psychodynamic theory.

Phoenix Counselling & Therapy Service - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

Phoenix Counselling & Therapy Service

35 Park Drive Green, Castleknock, Dublin 15, D15CR94
I work in a one to one relationship with the client in a confidential and safe setting. I work with couples in relationship difficulties and one to one with clients suffering from Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Social Anxiety. Working to develop the clients own self-awareness and by doing so assist them in finding their own way forward through their difficulties. As a therapist I am guided by the needs and concerns of the person attending for therapy. I can offer therapy based on Psychodynamic and Humanistic Integrative approaches incorporating cognitive behaviour and body work methods. In the Psychodynamic approach I attempt to bring a clients conscious awareness to the relevant parts of the unconscious . Dream analysis and guided imagery can help in achieving awareness.Humanistic Integrative approach practices the power of listening. Self-awareness can come from a person being fully heard and accepted without judgement. There is great  peace and joy to be realised that we can live our lives mindfully in the present moment, rather than staying in the past or projecting to the future. Awareness is the key to mindfulness, but it does not come easily for most of us. It requires commitment, discipline, hard work and daily practice.  I work with clients on their awareness and mindfulness. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) focuses on how we think, the kind of thoughts we have about ourselves and how that thinking affects how w

Alan Horne Counsellor & Psychotherapist - Alan Horne, Counsellor & Psychotherpist

Alan Horne Counsellor & Psychotherapist

Orwellness of Rathgar, 10 Orwell Road, Rathgar, Dublin 6, D06T265
Hi, my name is Alan Horne. I am a highly experienced, fully-accredited therapist with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). I believe that the aim of counselling is to provide a safe and confidential environment where the client has an opportunity to work towards living a more satisfactory and productive life. Counselling affords clients a unique opportunity to have a deeper understanding of what is going on in their lives. It can help build confidence and personal development where clients can explore and help bring about a new acceptance of experiences that may have caused them deep hurt and pain. Past experiences can hold them back and prevent them from moving forward with a more positive outlook. I strive to empower clients and encourage them to take control of their lives by changing behaviours that are not beneficial to them. I work as a psychodynamic psychotherapist but influenced by the humanistic and person-centred models. I am integrative in my approach, believing in the individuality of all clients, both in terms of their personalities but also in terms of their life experiences and how they have internalised them. I am non-directive and non-judgmental. I am a person of mature years with much life experience. I am a husband, father, one-time foster father and grandfather and, as a therapist, I am committed to continuous professional development and life-long learning. I have previously worked as an accountant and
