Brendan Markey Counselling and Addiction services is a confidential and non judgemental therapeutic support service that offers the conditions our clients need to overcome problems in life that may be causing distress, anxiety, fear or isolation.  Life's journey is often full of challenges and problems and acknowledging the impact these problems are having on us is a vital first step in taking control and changing the areas of our lives we want to.  None of us are alone with our difficulties, these problems are a common experience for many of us and our service creates the awareness that none of us need feel isolated or alone.  The human spirit is a powerful tool and the reality is that regardless of how worn down we may feel, most of the issues we struggle with can be changed. It may be changing how we view ourselves, how we view our situation or by learning how we can make better choices for ourselves.  The potential in all of us for change and for achieving well being is usually far greater and incredibly more powerful than the problem itself.  We are often completely unaware of this fact.We offer the space and help needed to explore the emotional and physical effects of our experiences and use this knowledge to support a journey towards finding practical ways to move through difficult times that will work for you. We are deeply aware that often in life our clients are unable to find a place to speak.  To be honest about how they really feel.  We work in a sensitive way that respects the individual.  We offer our clients unconditional support, understanding and respect when working together exploring the unique strength and inner wisdom that emerges during the therapeutic process.  We are committed to you every step of your journey and have the tools necessary to help you achieve a sense of balance, well being and a sense you are following the path that is true to you.
