Fergus Breen Counselling & Psychotherapy - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland
Ferg offers a safe space for his clients to talk through their experiences, emotions, and behaviours. He sees counselling as a journey of self-exploration, increasing levels of self-understanding and awareness. As a result, one is able to identify more rewarding ways of thinking and acting. He is passionate about helping his clients to discover new resources inside of themselves as they remove blocks to personal growth. SESSIONSCounselling sessions are typically 50 minutes long, once a week. The timing and duration of therapy depends on individual client preferences. Treatment can be arranged on a short or long-term basis. The first session is introductory, designed to explore specific needs of the client and to answer questions. This session is also used to further explain therapy and discuss confidentiality, fees, and cancellation policies. The client always has the power to end sessions. In order to bring healthy closure to the counselling relationship, last meetings are usually discussed in advance. If needed, Ferg also offers therapy via video conference.  SPECIALITIESAnxietyDepressionLow MoodOCDAngerSelf-EsteemGrief and LossPersonal GrowthRelationshipsSchool Refusal  Ferg also offers supervision and support for staff teams and conducts speaking engagements to encourage young people in self-discovery and making positive life decisions. Alan Horne Counsellor & Psychotherapist - Alan Horne, Counsellor & Psychotherpist

Alan Horne Counsellor & Psychotherapist

Orwellness of Rathgar, 10 Orwell Road, Rathgar, Dublin 6, D06T265
Hi, my name is Alan Horne. I am a highly experienced, fully-accredited therapist with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). I believe that the aim of counselling is to provide a safe and confidential environment where the client has an opportunity to work towards living a more satisfactory and productive life. Counselling affords clients a unique opportunity to have a deeper understanding of what is going on in their lives. It can help build confidence and personal development where clients can explore and help bring about a new acceptance of experiences that may have caused them deep hurt and pain. Past experiences can hold them back and prevent them from moving forward with a more positive outlook. I strive to empower clients and encourage them to take control of their lives by changing behaviours that are not beneficial to them. I work as a psychodynamic psychotherapist but influenced by the humanistic and person-centred models. I am integrative in my approach, believing in the individuality of all clients, both in terms of their personalities but also in terms of their life experiences and how they have internalised them. I am non-directive and non-judgmental. I am a person of mature years with much life experience. I am a husband, father, one-time foster father and grandfather and, as a therapist, I am committed to continuous professional development and life-long learning. I have previously worked as an accountant and

Psychotherapy and Couple Counselling - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

Psychotherapy and Couple Counselling

17 Margaret Place, Bath Avenue, Dublin 4, D04 T58
Lisa has been working for over ten years with couples and individuals who are experiencing relationship difficulties including communication and dealing with conflict, infidelity, stress and stressful lifestyles that are affecting their relationship, sexual intimacy, domestic violence, parenting and growing apart.  Some relationships will come to an end and this may be because, for example, the couple have grown apart or that there has been an infidelity, etc and they need help to deal with the emotional and practical aspects of this decision. Separation is life changing and is usually accompanied by upsetting feelings (either leading up to the separation or afterwards).  Although natural, these feelings can be very unsettling regardless of whether you were the one to leave or the one who was left behind.  She also has considerable experience working with second relationships and step families, helping clients to understand better the complexities of this unique family dynamic.   Lisa also works with clients who are struggling with stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief and loss as well as dealing with the impact of surviving child sexual abuse.  She is client-focused and works collaboratively with clients using an integrative approach. Her warm empathic style provides a supportive environment so that clients can explore and uncover blocks that may be affecting their overall happiness and help them find better ways to deal with their problems.  Lisa traine

Psychoanalysis is a praxis which is based on the acceptance of the unconscious mind and an exploration of its manifestation in our daily lives. Together the analyst and the analysand explore how unconscious wishes and desires impact on our choices and decisions in life. Accepting the reality of the unconscious mind awakens our awareness that unconscious desire is the ultimate driving force in our lives.

Welcome to The Healing House We are a dedicated team of healers led by founder John Kenny and Gemma Grimes. We believe that everyone encounters problems in life, and all of us at some time need a helping hand to get over the more serious problems. Difficulties ranging from addictions to naievity, from marital challenges to job related stress or even unfair dismissal or bullying in the work place. Some of us have experienced physical problems like back pain or emotional pain from wounding relationships, abuse or bereavement. Mental pain such as phobias, depression, suicidal thoughts or 'racing brain syndrome' can leave us feeling cornered and without help. Spiritual pain can be experienced when we feel lost or we lack trust in life. At The Healing House we provide caring therapists experienced in each of these fields to help you to feel better as quickly as possible.

Malou Acupuncture Counselling is a friendly, welcoming acupuncture practice in Dublin providing treatments for a variety of health conditions and promoting patient's general wellbeing. It is run by Malou Wang, a practitioner with over 20 years experience in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Dublin and Shanghai. Having worked and trained in Chinese and Irish hospitals, Malou ensures a balance between Eastern and Western medicine in her practice. Through almost 2 decades of acupuncture practice, I have always been curious about psyche (Mind) and somatic (Body) interconnection. After 4 years of studying at Dublin Business School, I have been awarded a bachelor degree BA in Counselling and Psychotherapy. These studies have enhanced my empathetic understanding of feelings of myself and others. When Western medicine and philosophy meets Eastern, it allows Mind, Body and Spirit to emerge into the ‘ONE’.
