My experience with Mairead has been excellent. Before attending sessions with Mairead, I was tired, lethargic, and frustrated with choices I was making and the lack of boundaries I was setting for myself. Mairead was kind, patient and showed great compassion and understanding in every session. She gave me the space to work through issues and find solutions and steps that I now follow. I am no longer feeling the way I was and I am confident in making the right decisions for me and my family. My head is now cleared of all the questioning and frustration that was causing my low mood before counselling.

I began attending Mairead a couple of months ago, seeking support for overwhelm, and anxiety, and hoping to cope better with past trauma. In that short time, Mairead has provided me with the tools to rebuild my self-esteem, and to begin to change long-held negative beliefs. Mairead is clearly very experienced, but also warm, intuitive, unassuming and most importantly, she creates a safe and non-judgmental space to talk and to be heard. The work we have done together, and the support Mairead has provided, although she will not take credit for it, is really life-changing for me!

I honestly cannot recommend Mairead enough, I would not be in the head space I am today without her help and guidance. I believe the thought is always worse than the deed and once you get in there it feels like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders, just to put a voice on what you are feeling and what is going on in your head. Thinking about Counselling and picking up the phone to make an appointment with any counsellor is a difficult brave decision not to mention going through the door of their office for anyone. After trying everything I could by myself to get through a huge traumatic experience and getting nowhere I felt I needed some professional help and someone to talk to outside of my family and friends. I had tried counselling before but felt I had a bad experience as not all counsellor's suit our needs. That's why I feel it's very important to check out what type of counselling you need and to have a good working professional connection with the counsellor you feel is right for you with what ever issues you bring. Initial contact with Mairead was easy and she got back with a quick reply. Feeling indecisive whether or not to go ahead with my appointment on meeting her I was soon put at ease. I found her very attentive and she really listened to what I had to say with warmth and understanding. Mairead helped by offering me a safe confidential space each week to make sense of it all. She was flexible around appointment times as work commitments can be varied. By gently talking my issues throughout with her things became clearer. She taught me to see things from a different perspective. I learned to take control of my feelings. Her compassionate and knowledgeable insight had shown me it was not my fault for the traumatic experience I have had. Her approach was amazing. As a professional counsellor Mairead is a supportive,encouraging , understanding soul who seems to Care for all her clients. With her guidance through this process with insight and humor I now have the courage and hope to reaffirm my value and worth. I have never looked back.. Change is painful. Growth is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don't belong. I would highly recommend Mairead as a professional counsellor.

I have been attending counselling sessions with Mairead for over two years on a weekly basis. The sessions with Mairead have been a brilliant experience. At the beginning I couldn't see the benefits but as time went on I realised how much I use and depend on the sills I gained from counselling. I would recommend counselling to anybody and have no problem telling people that I attend counselling. Your problems do not have to be dealt with alone. Any pain, suffering and emotions can be shared with Mairead in a professional setting. Mairead is understanding and helps you to overcome your issues.
