Dr. Engin was the most incredible and friendliest dentist I have ever had. Zehra is a very warm and hospitable dental assistant. Ali is a wealth of knowledge and a great help with the process of getting your smile makeover. I want to start by saying that in my almost 50 years of life, I have never been comfortable enough to smile. I do not know how to smile while showing my teeth. This is a problem that I will conquer soon as I now have the confidence that people will not look at my smile and be turned off. I wish that I could have done this years ago, but now that I have I am so glad that I did. I can offer this advice, take your pain medicine, and figure out soup for the days after you start your treatment. You can give yourself a million reasons not to do something, but you only need to find the one reason that will make it worthwhile and that is yourself. If you have ever hidden your teeth or been ashamed if someone would see your smile then give yourself this gift.

I am at the first stage of having all on four implants. I have just returned to the UK and it is early days to honest. The people at Westdent were very good to me and I was made very welcome and at ease. My upper jaw is fine but my lower jaw is still very tender. I am not able to wear the lower jaw temporary denture because of this. I hope it improves soon. I am looking forward to going back to have the permanent teeth fitted.

Here is my full detailed review of my treatment with Dr Cem Baysal: I first got in contact with Dr Baysal in the summer of 2022 after vast online research for dental work abroad. I came across Dr Baysal on whatclinic as he was number 1 rated in Istanbul. He had THOUSANDS of fantastic reviews backed up with decades of experience as well as being a professor in dentistry at multiple universities across Europe. It seemed a no-brainer to go with Dr. Baysal. I contacted Dr. Baysal via WhatsApp and gave him a brief overview of my dental situation and what I require. He then proceeded to make suggestions and sent his price list and fees for various treatments. Once I booked my flights he booked me in for an initial consultation the day after I land in Istanbul. I arrived in Istanbul November 2022 and discussed what I desired and created a treatment plan with Dr. Baysal. Upon reviewing the tomography (£35) Dr. Baysal advised I can have 3 dental implants for my missing teeth. The next day Dr. Baysal performed the initial implant surgery. I was given plenty of anaesthetic in and around the implant area so the surgery was painless. Just some pushing and pressure in the jawbone as you can imagine with inserting implants. Once the anaesthetic had worn off there was a little bit of pain but nothing ibuprofen couldn’t deal with. Dr. Baysal prescribed me 5 days worth of antibiotics to take post-surgery to avoid any potential infections. After the surgery, I was able to return home and needed to return after 5-6 months; known as the osteointegration period. After 6 months I returned in May 2023 to finish my treatment. Again this was an easy WhatsApp message to Dr. Baysal to let him know of my return. Upon returning I had another tomography to review the implants and make sure they were successful which they were. Now we could proceed with completing the dental implants. As well as the dental implants I discussed crowning 6 of my other upper teeth to create a nice natural smile. Dr. Baysal said this was possible so we created impressions for the crowns on my natural teeth and the dental implants. The preparation for the crowns was painless, performing ‘shoulder preparation’ which is a high-level skill to maintain gum health and the life of your teeth. Dr. Baysal and his fantastic dental nurses always provide plenty of anaesthetics to make sure you don’t feel anything throughout the procedure. Once my teeth were prepped for crowns and my implants ready for abutments and crowns Dr. Baysal placed temporary crowns over my teeth (mimicking my natural teeth) so I could carry on eating and drinking as normal. 6 days had passed and my crowns were ready to be fitted. This again was painless, the only uncomfortable parts of the process were the cold air on my prepped teeth which were sensitive and finishing the tightening of the dental implants. Once this was completed Dr. Baysal made sure my bite was correct and everything was secure and that I was happy with my new smile. Which I absolutely am! My treatment of 3 dental implants and 6 zirconium crowns came to roughly €7000 (£6000 £1=€1.15). This was half of what the treatment would have costed at my private dentist in the UK. Dr. Baysal’s clinic is located in the very affluent area of Nisantisi in Istanbul so it’s a pleasant stay in one of the many affordable local hotels. I have recommended Dr. Baysal to at least a dozen friends and family in the week after finishing my treatment and returning to the UK. They love my smile and the natural look of my teeth. Dr. Baysal offers a very natural-looking solution, making sure your crowns are shaped and in a shade that match your natural teeth. Dr. Baysal is a master in what he does. You’re probably reading this review as you are looking to come to Turkey for affordable dental treatment. Dr. Baysal’s prices are on the higher end for Turkey’s standards but his reviews and skills speak for themself and compared to UK prices, very affordable! Thank you Dr. Baysal and team. Very pleased with cataract surgery in Izmir. Everything went as the plan suggested. Met at airport, from there on in contact with me until final assessment. Picked up dropped off and escorted through all clinic visits. Clinic so clean, very thorough, and everything explained to me. So supportive. Very pleased with outcome. The hotel was fabulous. I attended the Ayt clinic for a Gastric Balloon, they were recommended via someone who had also attended a few weeks prior for the same procedure. I was greeted at the airport by Maksim who was my consultant. He gave me a rundown of what would be happening the next day, showed me to my hotel (which was very nice), and assured me he was on hand if I needed anything. All in all the procedure went well. The hospital was very clean and the staff friendly. Very happy with the service and would recommend.

Antalya is safe, the clinic is highly equipped and clean. Medhera and her team are very professional and friendly. All the staff were very professional and helpful at every moment. They had time for all kinds of questions and needs. All the patients who were there when I was in surgery were coming from all over the USA. My sleeve gastrectomy was performed successfully.
