Connecting Mindfully (counselling & psychotherapy) - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland
5.0 from 1 verified review
When something in your life is not how you'd like it to be, or when you're looking for help and support for something that you're going through; perhaps a life event, a particular concern or maybe problems with relationships, at home, in school or at work. Maybe you are experiencing feelings of anxiety, frustration, fear, sadness or other emotions.  Stress can be a part of this.  Counselling can help you to better understand what might be going on for you, and to find ways to effectively manage feelings, thoughts or worries.  My experience is that clients come to counselling because they want something in their life to be different. I appreciate that it's often not easy to come to counselling. I welcome clients with warmth and openness, and a non-judgemental listening ear. I am a Person-Centred Therapist and I use ACT, CBT and Choice Theory to help clients work through an issue or to help them shine a new light on an area of their life that is not currently how they would like it to be. Sometimes what we need is to be listened to and heard.  Coming to see a therapist is a brave step towards getting support.  Allowing yourself to talk about and express what you are experiencing might be what you need at this time.  We often don't 'press pause' in our lives, we often don't give ourselves the time or space to check in with ourselves. I'm a qualified and accredited counsellor and psychotherapist and supervisor with almost 20 years experience of working in a one-to-one and group setting.  As a Humanistic and Integrative psychotherapist, I draw from a variety of approaches from my ‘‘therapeutic toolbox’’, including Clinical Hypnotherapy, Systemic & Family Constellations, Psychosomatic Bodywork, Pre and Perinatal Psychology, Creative Expressive Arts and Trauma Recovery. The focus of my work is to empower you to gain awareness, new perspectives and see patterns and issues in a fresh light. The process offers you a very powerful way to experience real change and break habits, patterns, trauma and fears so that you can move forward to live a more authentic, peaceful life and move towards fulfilling your own innate potential. The process of psychotherapy may facilitate and allow you to grow more quickly than you ever have before. As a result, you may make those inner changes necessary to enable you to achieve goals, conquer fears, overcome challenges and allow you to unfold to your highest potential.
