At first I was very scared because it was my first surgery. Price was good, care was good. Lots of research before surgery. Very clean hospital (I think the only thing that could be improved are beds for the accompanying person). Very helpful coordinator, always advises and helps when there are doubts. I had a gastric sleeve with Dr Suleyman Akilli on April 5th 2022. From the moment I met this lovely gentleman, I felt completely at ease. The tests taken before my operation were numerous and made me feel that everything was done professionally and thoroughly. I was in the hospital for 3 nights and my care was 24/7 the lovely nurses were so kind and sweet. My Coordinator Arina was incredible. She was with me every step of the way and translated everything and put me at ease. Since leaving the hospital I have not taken one pain killer. I already weigh 22lb less and am so pleased that I had this surgery But even more pleased that I chose this incredible surgeon and his amazing team. I highly recommend

This surgery consists of two surgical techniques. In the first stage, the stomach volume is brought to a smaller size from the midline of the tube and the most restrictive effect is seen. In the second stage, the small intestine is counted 150-200 cm from the beginning of the small intestine and the small intestine is combined with the newly formed small stomach so that we have seen in this surgical technique the absorption-limiting effect. It is an effective technique that is preferred also for metabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol and blood pressure which are caused by excessive weight gain while the patient has regular and adequate weight loss after surgery.

The operation allows the stomach to take the shape of a tubular tube extending through the small curvature. The avarage volüme of the stomach is about 150 – 200 cc. There are 2 weight loss mechanism in this surgery; restrictive and hormonal effect. Feeling of satiety with little food after vertically collapsing the stomach is a restrictive effect. The hormonal effect is the loss of appetite with reduced release of the ghrelin hormone produced by the cells in the fundus, which is the upper part of the stomach. After the operation, the patients lose about 65-70% of their excess weight in about 12 months.One of the greatest advantages of operation of the tube gastric (sleeve gastrectomy) is that there is no problem in the intake of vitamins and minerals since there is no operation that affects the absorption.

After having three children (all natural births) I felt that my bladder had weakened and my private area needed a rejuvenation. I contemplated and done a lot of research before finding Hylia Health. I was over the moon because the surgeon is female, for some this may not matter but personally, this put me at ease and made me feel more comfortable. Finally, I decided to go ahead and book and I am so glad I did. It has been one of the best choices I have made for myself. I feel much more confident and I can drink liters of water without multiple trips to the toilet. Hylia health where very professional and supportive every step of the way, before and after treatment. They arranged transfers to pick me up from my hotel and drop me back. They have a coordinator who spoke extremely good English and was even able to advise on the best places to go out to eat and do fun activities. Now I'm back in the UK they are still in contact with me via what's app and I can contact them anytime if I have any concerns

A very good hospital amazing surgeon/ on call 24 hour nurse staff! I had a gastric sleeve done in November and I would 100% recommended this surgeon. I was visited by the surgeon after the surgery almost every day. It was the best experience I could have asked for under the circumstances!
