I never used to think about enlarged pores, or even really know what they were – until I turned 50, when my own pores overnight got noticeably bigger – to the point where they became practically the only feature of my face I could see. It was awful. Trying to cover them up with foundation only accentuated them, so make- up couldn’t make me look better; quite the opposite, it made my skin look even worse. I underwent three monthly sessions, which were completely painless, and by the end of these my pores had shrunk so much that I’ve gone back to never even noticing them.

Having recently turned the big 50, I wanted to feel better and look more refreshed – especially as I had started to notice how tired I looked. I chose Dr Raquel Amado as I know that she specialises in making sure that her patients look natural, not overdone and just a better version of themselves. After a thorough consultation, where we discussed in detail what was bothering me, I decided to go for a full ‘liquid face lift’ using the dermal fillers that she recommended. I have had a small amount of fillers in the past, so I knew a little bit of what to expect, but this was completely different as Dr Raquel didn’t just get rid of one little line, she basically re-contoured my face, cheeks, chin and jowl area – lifting it and sculpting it back to how it was maybe 5-10 years ago before gravity and the menopause kicked in. She was very gentle, used a local anaesthetic and took her time with me. Dr Raquel was very careful to make sure I was comfortable throughout the treatment, checking to see that she was happy with the changes as well as making sure that I was. All in all, we used over 5ml of filler, the most I have ever had, but wow – the results are absolutely incredible. I look natural, not done, not overfilled, just a better, more rejuvenated version of me. We chose the Neauvia range of filler both for the natural results, and also because Dr Raquel is a trainer for them – so she knew it would give me the outcome I was looking for. I am so happy with everything. I can’t thank Dr Raquel enough. I look and feel so much better, but the best part is – no-one really knows. Once the swelling and the small bruise went down (this is normal and only lasted a few days), my face looked lifted, less tired and more refreshed. Thank you so much Dr Raquel. I could not recommend Dr Khalil and his clinic more highly. I had the feeling I could trust him and his clinic from the first call. In any procedure, this is of absolute importance. I had hair transplanting done yesterday and it took approx 6 hours from start to finish. You do not leave his hands he cares for you from the moment you get there. I'm not going to say it was painless, I have a very sensitive scalp but Dr Khalil did absolutely everything he could to make it as comfortable as possible. He is kind, caring and a credit to his profession. His technicians are professional, friendly, helpful and equally caring when sorting the "onions" for replanting. The clinic is outstanding, the facilities outstanding. If you want a hair transplant this Doctor is the only doctor I would ever recommend and use. I am a normal hard-working patient, I worked 3 jobs to get this done so my review is honest and straightforward. If you want a procedure done, this Doctor, his clinic and his technicians come with my highest recommendations. I look forward to the results. Thank you Doctor I will see you in a month.

Staff friendly but professional. Paula put me at ease as I was quite nervous. Clinic itself is in a beautiful Victorian house and decor- very much has a calming effect as not too clinical.

I am an extremely anxious patient, but everybody at Smilekind was very professional and reassuring. I had a new top denture made which fits perfectly; there is no movement, and I can bite and eat anything I want. I really recommend this practice.
