A relaxed happy team and I never felt rushedRuth, Ireland, 20 10 22

Had a very straightforward check-up and cleaning here today. Such a lovely experience, a relaxed happy team and I never felt rushed which is so unusual now when seeing a doctor or dentist. I asked lots of questions about how they work and Caoimhín answered everything so frankly and honestly. Hoping I don't need to go back too often, but I won't be concerned if I do need to!

A great service!Lena, Ireland, 01 06 20

Excellent service during the lockdown. You wear a mask, the doctors, nurses and technicians wear masks, but you get seen to and treated with professionalism. I felt like a hypochondriac coming in with a minor injury, but the consultation, x-ray and advice I received put my mind at rest. A great service!

Non-Surgical Extractions €65 - €100
Treatment Duration: 30 – 60 minutes A tooth may need to be removed from the mouth if it cannot be saved through any other treatment. Most commonly teeth are extracted when a tooth is broken through trauma/accident, decay or if it is loose. There are many reasons an extraction may be required. It is important to consult your dentist regarding a dental plan. There are two types of tooth extraction: Simple extraction: This is the most common type of extraction and is very straight forward. This type of extraction occurs when the tooth is visible or loose in the mouth. Surgical extraction: This is a more complicated procedure and is necessary if a tooth is broken at the gum line or is below the gum line. This type of extraction takes more time and in some instances can only be carried out by an oral surgeon. If this is the case our dentist will refer you to an oral surgeon. What to expect from your visit to White Smile Dental: Once you have made an appointment you will be sent a reminder text the day before with our your appointment details and our address. Upon arrival you will be asked to fill out a new patient form and take a seat in our comfortable waiting area. At your appointment time, our dentist will check your mouth and the affected tooth while taking xrays if required. He will discuss all options available and clearly outline the cost and time frame of treatment. At this point and if it is possible you may decide to have the tooth removed there and then or arrange to come back at a more convenient time. Aftercare notes are given at the end of your appointment to guide you post treatment.

Wisdom Tooth Extraction
Treatment Duration: 45 – 60 minutes Wisdom teeth are located at the very back of the mouth and tend to come through in when in your twenties or later. This often causes problems with space in the mouth (impacted) when they are ‘erupting’ leading to pain and infection. In some cases wisdom teeth can only be removed by an oral surgeon in which case our dentist will refer you. If you are in pain from your wisdom teeth please contact us immediately. We will ensure we see you as soon as possible. There is a possibility our dentist may not be able to remove your wisdom tooth that day, but we will help with any pain and prescribe antibiotics if required. Wisdom Tooth Extraction €300 - €1000
Wisdom teeth are the large molars found at the very back of the jaw. They are the last teeth to appear (erupt) in the mouth, usually between the ages of 18 and 24 years, although this can vary. If the jaw is too small to accommodate them, they may cause pain or crowd other teeth out of position. Impaction means that the tooth may be partially trapped by the jawbone, back teeth or gums. These teeth can grow sideways, emerge only part way from the gum or remain trapped beneath the gum and bone. Wisdom teeth are extracted for two general reasons: either the wisdom teeth have already become impacted, or the wisdom teeth could potentially become problematic if not extracted. Potential problems include infections caused by food particles easily trapped in the jaw area behind the wisdom teeth where regular brushing and flossing is difficult. Such infections may be frequent, and cause considerable pain. . Other reasons wisdom teeth are removed include misalignment which rubs up against the tongue or cheek causing pain and potential crowding of the remaining teeth.
