Dental Crowns
A natural look for broken and cracked teeth  If you want a smile of glory, you may need a crown to restore the tooth to its normal shape and size. A porcelain crown (also called embedding) covers a tooth to restore its normal shape and size, strengthening and improving the appearance of a tooth. Severe Best Teeth Stains Porcelain Veneer Veneer Application Best Treatment The advantages of crowns include: * Size, shape, texture and color can be controlled. * Return of aesthetics and function. * Can be used on damaged or broken teeth Although porcelain crowns require the reduction of more tooth structure than the veneers, so they are generally stronger than the veneers. Porcelain crowns look like natural teeth and are often stronger than the original teeth. A new crown should last six to eight years. Crowns, however, can last much longer with the application of good oral hygiene and supervision. Moreover, teeth grinding, chewing ice, biting your nails and could significantly decrease the duration of a crown. Dental Crowns  For very damaged teeth, dental crowns can be an effective option. The crown placement procedure involves the use of dental tooth-shaped cover made of metal, ceramic or porcelain to restore strength and eliminate discomfort. In addition, dental crowns can be used to anchor a dental bridge or to cap a dental implant post.Types of Dental Crowns  Dental crowns are made of metal, ceramic or porcelain fused to metal. The type of crown that is used during the procedure will depend on the individual needs and goals, as well as the recommendation of the dentist.

So much MORE than expectedShibumi, US, 22 09 23

Absolutely Superb. So much MORE than expected. I was hit by a car whilst riding a bike in San Francisco 17 yrs ago; my left leg & foot were broken and within seven months 4 molars sheared out due to the shock impact of the fall ... other teeth were affected too. $30K and years later these dental works needed redress. SFBay area friends (many) had seen Dr. Alberto Hernandez in Puerta Vallarta in past decade and highly recommended his services and the co$t SAVINGS. omGoodness ... I am so glad I went. I have all new veneers and 2 implants and shall be back for crowns in 4-5 months to stay at the fab Rivera del Rio Hotel, 10-minute walk to Int'nl Dental Center by the sea. THANK YOU, Dr. Hernandez and staff

Temporary Crown $200 - $300
Temporary crownsTemporary dental crowns are usually cemented into place using "temporary" cement so they can be removed easily at the time of your next dental appointment. Because this cement is not as strong as other types of dental cement, your dentist will probably suggest to you that you take some precautions so not to dislodge your temporary crown.Resin crownsA resin crown is made from a special mixture of microscopic particles and cosmetic dental resin. The particles resemble tiny pieces of glass mixed into the resin, which is then cured to harden and strengthen the compound.Zirconia Crowns:Zirconia is the best material available for bridges and for creating a strong translucent tooth that rivals all-porcelain crowns. Zirconia crowns are significantly less expensive than all-porcelain crowns, and about the same price as gold-based metal-porcelain crowns (slightly higher than stainless steel). Also, because zirconia substrates can be milled with a laser milling machine, the substrates tend to fit better and are less labor-intensive than either a metal-procelain or all-porcelain solution, providing a superior product with a quicker turn-around at a lower cost.
Dental Crowns $440 - $550
One-Price for Porcelain over Metal Crowns including x-rays, temporaries, and build-ups if necessary. Because porcelain crowns cover your entire tooth, they often provide good solutions for severe problems i.e. a bad fracture, a large filling, a tooth that has had root canal treatment, and in situations where one or several teeth are missing. When teeth cannot be saved, dental implants and bridges are a great option to replace missing teeth. As with other techniques, crowns can correct a wide range of problems. They are durable and strong, so replacements are needed less often. The difference between crowns and laminates (or porcelain inlays) is that more tooth structure is removed. This is required to allow adequate space for the restorative material to have appropriate strength, esthetics… and healthy gum contour. The types of crowns that are commonly used are:1.Porcelain fused to metal quality. 2.Porcelain jacket crown 3.100% Porcelain and Art Glass.Porcelain
Gold Crown $500 - $700
Gold crowsThe classic metal dental crown is one made of gold, or more precisely a gold alloy. Over the decades a variety of different metal alloys have been used in making dental crowns. Some of these metals are silver in color rather than yellow like gold
