Physiologic is a physiotherapy clinic specialising in, Manual Therapy, Dry Needling, Biomechanical assessment and Orthotic Prescription. We are senior physiotherapists, proud to bring a new service to people in the West Clare area. We are fully registered, fully insured members of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. Our main therapist is Francoise Lauton, a French qualified Physio with Post Graduate qualification in Paediatrics. Francoise has 30 years of experience in all areas of physiotherapy, twelve of which in Ireland. She has worked in neonatal, paediatric and adult intensive care units, children and adult neurology rehabilitation centres. She was the Early Intervention physiotherapist for the HSE in North Tipperary for three years. In 2011, the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (US name for physiotherapy) listed her as a World Expert in Paediatric Physiotherapy. Aside from treating children, Francoise specializes in Neurology, Respiratory, Biomechanics, Lymphatic Drainage and Orthotic insoles. She also takes care of neck or low back pain and general musculoskeletal conditions. We are located in the Ennistymon Medical Centre, on the first floor, one level below the Dental Clinic. Wheelchair access is through the GP's waiting room. Our clinic will be open on Tuesdays and Fridays  from 2.00 to 6.00 PM. Hours might be extended depending on demand. Home visit available within a 5km radius on referral from GP.

Our team of highly qualified chartered physiotherapists specialise in many areas including: neck, back and sports injuries, sports and deep tissue massage, dry needling and acupuncture, custom orthotics, women’s health services and are proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pain or injuries anywhere in the body. All of our physios are members of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists, the Irish regulatory body for physiotherapy.

Physical Therapy Clinic Physical Therapy is a hands on Holistic treatment where the therapist will look at the WHOLE body to find out where problems are arising in the body. Your treatment will comprise of a full medical history, followed by a postural assessment and a physical assessment. All of this information will be compiled to put together a treatment plan.

We, Adrian and Susanne studied Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in Germany. Until late 1995 we managed our own Clinics in Germany, when we then decided to move to Ireland.  The core competency of AST is Day Care Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at the highest international level. The clinic was established and positioned as Patient Rehabilitation in its own right and is external to hospitals but medically positioned at an equivalent level.    By working with patients having serious conditions ( Stroke, spinal Cord injuries, cerebral palsy etc..)   , AST strives to return people to a higher health level where they can enjoy a level of freedom not previously thought possible, return to work at an appropriate level, and where they can enjoy a quality of life previously also not thought possible .

Graduated stretching and home exercise regimes are an integral part of treatment to restore normal function and strength to body parts which may otherwise be prone to re-injury.
