We were so impressed with Dr. Armenta Jasso in several ways! He's conversational, kind, and a good listener. We had a conversation through emails before I ever met him, while I was searching for a professional weight loss treatment in Nuevo Laredo. Besides corresponding in several emails, in a timely manner, he invited me to the office and wrote a needed prescription in that first appointment.

Initial enquiries were made to Weronika who effectively and gently guided me through the whole process she was supportive professional patient and gave me great confidence in choosing Allmedica Weronika then introduced me to my English-speaking host the wonderful Oscar who was an absolute comfort, incredibly helpful and diligent. Oscar was superb at his job and always made you feel like you were in safe capable hands I was then introduced to my surgeon. Who instantly made me feel I was in very safe hands. A very skilled and capable man who performed my surgery. I live in Canada and had been suffering from osteoarthritis in my left shoulder for a number of years. After trying various types of alternate solutions such as physiotherapy, visco-supplementation and cortisone injections, the conclusion was reached with the doctors involved that a full shoulder replacement surgery was the best, if not the only, solution to regain life quality moving forward. I got referred to an orthopedic surgeon, but was not getting any call back, and was unable to find out when I could possibly get that call, let alone go through the surgery. I began to search on the Web for organizations providing private medical services abroad. There are many out there, advertising services in many different countries. I reached out to several of them through their sites. Wellness Travels was the only one which, in my opinion, demonstrated a serious and human approach. Even though the clinic is located in a fairly remote country (Lithuania), this was not a deterrent since I exchanged daily for several weeks with a Lithuanian contact in Canada. All my questions and concerns were addressed throughout those exchanges. In addition, I had consultations with a very experienced Canadian based orthopedic surgeon, who performed thousands of surgeries throughout his career, and took the time to travel to the clinic, meet the surgeons and inspect the facilities thoroughly. He went to the extent of climbing up to the roof to verify the ventilation systems. With the coordinator we scheduled a date for the surgery and determined the best travel plans. When I finally got there, the clinic was exactly as what I saw on their website and what the doctor told me: immaculate and as modern as any other world class facility. From a pricing perspective, the cost was very reasonable, compared to the those advertised by the other sites. The surgery and rehab services were outstanding at every level. The surgeon even took the time to visit me every day during my stay to follow up on my progress. The physiotherapist showed up even on weekends to work with me and the other foreign patients. Surgery such as the one I got is a major undertaking, and an even more daunting one when travelling far from home away from family and friends. I took the risk to go for it, and it was worthwhile! In general, people who know me would confirm that I am a very demanding customer. So it is quite a leap for me to totally recommend without hesitation Wellness Travels to anyone in need of orthopaedic surgery.

Dr Andrea Ooi is a super-skilled and professional surgeon. She is supported by such dedicated staff who have allowed me to have a very successful operation. And I felt so supported prior too and have a well-advanced support arrangement moving forward; which will greatly assist in my weight loss journey. The hospital is well-equipped, modern and well-staffed. The hospital anaesthesiologist and assistant surgeon also very lovely, as too were the nursing staff. I came from Australia and consider myself very fortunate to have found such a great fit for me in finding Dr Ooi and her team. I had my sleeve surgery with Prof A. Mickevicius on 19/9/23 at the clinic in Lithuania. After a great deal of research I chose the Professor because of his links to the NHS here in the UK. I was reassured by the cost (more expensive than Turkey but cheaper than UK), as well as the Professor’s vast experience in bariatric surgery. From the early stages of enquiry with Paule, through to my post discharge follow up back at home, I cannot fault them! Absolutely first class service which has beaten some of my experiences with Spire in UK. The hospital facilities are very modern and pleasant, with exceptional standards in clinical hygiene. The nursing staff would attend for observations every 2 hours around the clock, as well as providing an immediate response to any ‘button calls’ from the personal call button provided. The anaesthetist also visited me on the ward pre op and gave a very thorough assessment. The Professor came to see me in my hospital room on the morning of my surgery and again immediately following my surgery, back on the ward and each day after during my hospital stay to check up personally. He was also available at the end of the phone via the ward for any queries I had (mainly my raised BP). If you’re considering accommodation options as part of the package, I would point out that the apartment option is VERY basic. Also, we were in apartment directly on the terrace which could be a little noisey at night with other guests. If I were to return I would opt for the hotel. One difference in Lithuania compared to UK hospitals that you may need to be aware & prepared for is that they do not use a pre-op room for sedation. You will be walked down directly to the operating theatre and sedated in there when you arrive. It could be a little overwhelming for some if you are not anticipating seeing the theatre setting! Again the medical staff are wonderful at putting you at ease. Prof. Mickevicius is very pleasant, personable, and informative. I felt very reassured and safe in his care and would not hesitate to recommend Newman to anyone considering bariatric surgery

After speaking to Judith JobIing at Gastric Band Support Manchester (who I also highly recommend and who has been doing my fills for a couple of years) chose to go to Belgium for a replacement Gastric Band as mine developed a leak. She recommended Obesity Solutions and got in touch with Chris Deprez the Patient Care Manager on my behalf and he contacted me straight away. The process was very smooth and I had a couple of calls and Zoom meetings with him where he explained everything and answered all of my questions. It was such a different experience from the place I initially used for my Band and then subsequently for a breast reduction. I used The Hospital Group then changed its name I believe to Transform Hospital Group. (I would recommend people do not use this hospital, I have put reviews on their website.) I arrived in Belgium with my wife who was allowed to stay in the hotel provided for me at no extra cost. We were collected at the airport and dropped off at our hotel. Any other travel to and from appointments etc was provided in the cost and the driver even collected us from the train station after a day out in Brugge. All my appointments were on time and hassle-free. The morning of the operation I was collected at my hotel and dropped off at the Hospital at 7 am. By 7.45 am I was in the theatre and the operation was finished by 8.30 am. The nursing, admin and surgical staff were fantastic, they could not do enough for me. I was collected from the hospital at 1 pm and taken back to my hotel. I ended up just having a port replacement as that was the part that was leaking. Chris had explained that the Surgeon may do that after the leak was identified on an x-ray the day before. The pain was minimal straight after the operation and has virtually gone now after 1 week. I have had regular contact with Chris since the operation and getting back to England. I have an app on which I log my ongoing weight and I have direct access to Chris anytime. It also is full of other info regarding aftercare, diets, what to do etc. I am honestly overwhelmed with thanks to Chris, his team & the medical staff in Belgium. I also received a refund as the operation was not as big as I first thought. If I had to go for any further treatment, given the choice I would choose Obesity Solutions every time. June 2023. I am so happy I decided to have a full tummy tuck and my eyelids done. Three months on I am starting to see real results. Many people have commented on how healthy I look, fresh-faced, younger, which is a real compliment at the age of 62. Jackie will answer all of your questions and is a huge support throughout the process. She will hold your hand if needs be. The doctor is very professional and will tell you exactly what needs doing or not. He knows what he is doing and it shows. This clinic came highly recommended by a friend and I have since recommended it to others. I cannot praise their professionalism and care (before and especially afterwards) highly enough. If you are looking for an excellent cosmetic surgeon you have just found them.
