I had sleeve gastrectomy surgery and my family members had eclipse balloons. It was a wonderful experience for us with the whole medical team led by Professor Ali, Nurse Sude, translator Mohammed, Ali Musthapa and nurses at Ward 3. They've been very meticulous and professional in attending to our medical needs. I would recommend their services to anyone who needs such professional medical attention and hygiene at very affordable prices. 😀

I had my gastric sleeve surgery exactly 1 month ago. I am very satisfied with the clinic and especially with Dr. Barış and my coordinator Ömer. I was well-informed about everything. I felt very safe during my stay in the clinic with the team’s professional manner. Dr. Barış was very friendly and the clinic was very clean and modern. There is a family atmosphere and you feel very well cared for! Can't thank them enough.

I'm writing this comment from home on day 6 of my surgery. I would like to say that I was very scared when I decided to have the operation, but when I arrived in Istanbul and got into the vehicle that was supposed to take me to the hospital, I felt very safe. When I arrived at the hospital, my translator was waiting for me and helped me settle into my room. Before my operation, all the necessary tests were carried out, x-rays were taken and my heart was examined. It was like an investigation was being conducted. The next morning Dr. visited me. Cem with my translator, answered all my questions and encouraged me to have the operation. He is both a very good doctor and very professional. After the operation, I had some pain but they gave me enough painkillers. After a few hours, I was able to walk and move around the hospital on my own. After the hospital the vehicle took me to my hotel, everything was ready for me and the hotel was very nice. I stayed in the hotel for two nights. A WhatsApp group was set up with a nutritionist, a doctor and a translator and I was immediately given all the necessary information. I'm home now and can say my surgery went great. Thank you very much, Dr. Cem Arslan and his team! You are wonderful people!

Thank you to all of the team at Novemed! They are well organised, the hospital is clean and everything was taken care of. I couldn’t have done it without Sena who was so patient, she listened to my concerns and got surgeon Dr Derici to come to meet with me before the procedure. Sean was right by my side the entire way. The surgeon came to visit every evening before leaving and every morning when he came back to work. If you are considering a gastric sleeve, this is the place you want to have it. My tiny incisions were neat, pain relief was on time around the clock, and I didn’t have to call for anyone. I give them 5 stars.

From my first message with my coordinator Cankarokoc to leaving 5 days later everything went so well. Staff at the clinic and hospital were fantastic, nothing was too much for them. the translator John was such a massive help and I would 100% recommend Apera!

I had my surgery ten days ago and this was so easy no pain and I started to walk immediately after the operation 5 days later I started to work again but you do not have to wait, after 5 days you can start to work again. Now I lost weight and this continues. I feel happy since then.

I have recently had 2 Alcon Panoptix trifocal lenses fitted in my eyes along with 5 tooth implants. The service given by SAM patient services was of the highest calibre. Everything was done seamlessly. The surgeons were excellent and I felt at ease the whole time. I would recommend these to anyone.

So, here's my brief summary of the operation in Antalya. Everything was organised via clinicsunited.com. Fatma was my contact person. I was picked up from the airport. I was at the hospital at 7 pm, checked into my room at 7.12 pm and had blood taken and an ECG. Then I had a light but tasty dinner. The next day was surgery day, but before that, I was shown around various wards. Fatma was always by my side when I had to see a cardiologist, a lung specialist, an ultrasound, an X-ray and then - because of my poor values - a nephrologist. In between, I was also told that I had gallstones. In the end, I was ready for the operation and I was able to put on my smart shirt. I was taken to the operating theatre at around twelve o'clock, was able to lie down and was given my access. Suddenly my eyes went black and I woke up two hours later. Completely pain-free, probably thanks to the painkiller. Back in the room, I was able to collect myself and get up after just three hours. I have four small holes in my abdomen, which were closed with self-dissolving stitches. The next two days I was driven. I was told to walk, walk, walk and do breathing exercises. Drinking in sips for the first time also worked well. Tea, lactose-free milk, apple juice and water made me feel full. In between, there were repeated infusions (vitamins, painkillers, saline solution, blood thinners and antibiotics). All in all, I actually feel the same as before, as long as I don't push myself to the limit (which I don't intend to do). On the last day, I had a short nutritional counselling session (Fatma was there) and was briefed on the plan for the next few weeks. I currently weigh around 122 kilos and the target range is 85-90 kilos - I still have a decent amount of muscles. The doctor who operated on me was briefly on the ward round every day, a very likeable young man who previously worked as an oncological surgeon, Dr Erdem Canyardimci The hospital isn't brand new, but it's absolutely fine. It has all the necessary wards to be able to intervene in intensive care! And there is a lot of staff on the wards. All in all: any time again - but that's just a recommendation! For most of you, this would probably not be an option because you have more confidence in the German healthcare system and would therefore prefer to undergo nutritional counselling and a sports programme first or pay more money as a self-payer. For some, my approach can be an alternative to finding the right path. In the end, everyone has to decide for themselves!

I was a very unhealthy, unhappy man weighing 149.23 kg. At 46 years old I had my first heart attack. At 48 years old I was diagnosed with angina. My weight was killing me. In September 2022 the NHS turned me down for Surgery for the 4th time. I knew someone local who had been to Turkey and lost a huge amount of weight so I went to see him and I got the contact details. I sent a message via instagram to Dr Metin Karadeniz and Sezen, his co-ordinator got straight back to me via WhatsApp. She answered all my questions without hesitation, checking details with doctors about my heart issues and medication. We agreed to schedule surgery for the following week. I booked the flights and 5 days later they picked me up from Izmir airport. I was taken to a decent hotel for the first night and then they took me to the hospital the next morning. Sezen met me there and took me to see all the different doctors for every test you can imagine. Heart, lungs, x-ray, ultrasound, mental health: everything was checked. I felt well cared for and the level of professionalism was excellent. I met Dr Metin Karadeniz before the operation and we had a chat. I felt completely at ease. I went down early afternoon and woke up back in my private hospital room. I was walking a few hours later with very minimal pain. The staff came and checked on me regularly and gave me IV fluids. I spent the next three days in hospital, walking and following their post operative regime. When Dr Metin discharged me I went back to the hotel for a few days, enjoying walking around Ismir. I went for a checkup at his clinic with him and the nutritionist before returning home to England. It has now been 10 weeks since surgery and I have lost 30.39kg! I feel so much healthier, I no longer have sleep apnea, my cholesterol has come down from 6.7 to 3.5, my HbA1c is down to 33. My BMI was 46.94 and is now 35.8. I was a 48” waist and I’m now a 40”. This has been the best gift I have ever given myself. It has saved my life. If you are big/unhappy/struggling……. Don’t hesitate. It’s not a magic wand and the new lifestyle isn’t easy but it is life-changing. Thank you to the whole team.

12.5/10 - Fantastic Experience, Great Coordinator, Nurses and Hospitality staff! Asuman is the greatest coordinator! I went to turkey to have gastric sleeve surgery (weight loss option). My coordinator was the nicest, respectable, reliable, politest, generous, helpful, kind, pro-active, efficient person I've ever met! (besides the women in my family) overall great/perfect coordinator. She was extremely helpful throughout the whole process from start to end in which I am extremely grateful for. I stayed in the Radisson Blue hotel which was amazing, clean, lovely views, good lighting with 5 stars customer service. I stayed in turkey for 8 nights and checked into Medical Park Hospital on the 2nd day in which all my medicals such as blood tests, scans etc was taken. The next day was surgery day, I was greeted in the morning by the surgeon who was very polite, kind and professional, he talked me through everything. After the surgery going very well, I was left in care with the nurses who were very very attentive, kind, warming and hard working. Even though I was in a lot of pain and frustrated after the surgery, the nurses understood and were very helpful and were very kind and very respectful. My hospital room was spacious clean, stylish and comfortable. After spending a couple of days recovering in the hospital I returned back to the hotel where I was greeted by Rana and other nurses who were all extremely lovely, helpful and all had great/positive energy. Overall I would rate this Gastric Sleeve experience 12.5/10. Thank you.

I can’t recommend this place enough! From the moment I stepped off the plane I was looked after and made to feel so welcome and safe. The surgeons were absolutely amazing, the nurses were attentive and so caring, I don’t have a bad word to say. If your like me and looking for a safe place outside the u.k to have surgery and change your life this the place to go. I will definitely be going back if I need any body contouring after I lose all this weight!
